On Jan 18, 2024, I brought a new car from Sheehy Mazda of Hagerstown. The sales price of the is $40,734 as listed on the Pa application for certificate of title. The taxable amount is listed as $38,216.86 and the sales tax is listed as $2,515.14. The dealer arrived at the sales tax amount by subtracting $40,734 - $38,218.86 = $2,515.14. This is incorrect. The sales tax should be 6% of the taxable amount which is $38,218.86 * .06 = $22,93.13 not $2,515.14. This incorrect sales tax amount was used for calculation throughout the sales document. This inflated the price of the car and the amount that was financed. I reached out to Heather in the business office, and she dismissed me by saying that she will check on it. The next business day she left me a voice mail with a bogus excuse as to why the sales tax is correct. I was taught in school to multiple the taxable amount by the sales tax. Sheehy Mazda is subtracting the purchase price from the taxable amount to get the sales tax. This amounts to steeling from consumers and should not be allowed to happen. Thank you, and your assistance is greatly appreciated.Customer response

I have added calculation of the $326.49 that is owned to me. The corrected PA sales tax is $2,293.13. I placed the decimal in the wrong spot.

We traded our 2019 Ford Fusion Hybrid in on a 2019 Mazda CZ-9 on September 15. We did all the paperwork, signed off on everything. The only thing was missing was my social security card. I had to order a new one. I sent the a copy of the receipt to prove that I had. They said as soon as it came in to send it. When I received it I did. We had to a welcome call with the financial company. Which I did. They would not stop harassing us; it was none stop; harassment from the car company. It was the worst deal I’ve ever done in my life. The finance company is still calling my husband wanting car payments on the 2019 Fusion that we don’t even have anymore because we traded it in the Mazda; which they should have paid off by now. So they either need to pay the car off an give back to us. They also never told me that I had to strictly go to them for oil changes an thing. Plus my car had defective marks on it when I bought. And I told them that. They did nothing to rectify it. They gave me a crappy deal. They need to rectify the deal they made an make things. They can’t treat customers wrong; especially just because we are women or harassi us. It’s ridiculous for them to get away with this. My husband had a 700 credit score an now it’s in the 500 because of them. Mine was close to 600 and it’s dropped also. They owe me a better deal and need to rectifyInitial Complaint

On 12/2/2021 I bought a 2015 Hyundai Elantra from Sheehy Subaru dealership in Hagerstown MD. The next day I took it back with a vibration in the front of the car and they brushed it off as just a motor vibration. By 1/22/2022 I had to put in 3 quarts of oil. And a week later the check engine light came on, so I took it back to Sheehy. They put it on machine and said it needed a catalytic converter and a 02 sincer and sent me to ****** ******* in Hagerstown MD. Since the first of 2/20/22 ****** has put in catalytic converter, 02 sincer, fixed missed firing rings twice, fule injection cleaning (I paid 311.00 for that). (I did a oil consumption test with my private mechanic car using 2 to 3 quarts of oil every 1,000 miles). My check engine light came on again my mechanic told me to go back to ****** Hyundai they did oil change and they did a oil consumption test the car made it to almost 700 miles, then they said I needed a upper motor cleaning (which cost me 500.00), they called and said it was guncked up so bad that they needed to do a second cleaning and a oil change. Once again we did a oil consumption test and it only made it to 575 miles. ****** Hyundai said it needed a new motor and tried to get Hyundai to replace the engine and Hyundai said no. I am putting oil in every 1,000 miles and no one can find where the oil is going. I went back to Sheehy to try and see if they would do a wash (my mechanic said they could take my car back and get me another one). But all they tried to do is sell me a new car for $31,000.00, I can't afford that, I am a widow and I support myself. I need a very dependable vehicle to get to work, church and life ing general. The motor is jerking and the engine light is on again and I need to get to work!! I have documentation from ****** if I need to I can fax. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!! PLEASE HELP ME!!!
