      Hello, I am contacting the BBB today to get an issue resolved or get a refund from our previous accountant, **. ***** **********************. We requested **. ********************** complete a job that dealt with our tax filing status with the IRS and paid $300. We asked for updates from *** ******, and she replied with the IRS was busy or unavailable to answer questions. That was about 3 or 4 months ago and no word since. We would like this matter to be resolved by either a refund or an answer about tax filing status with IRS (an LLC or S-corp.) immediately. Our hope is that the BBB can help us resolve this so can file our tax correctly moving forward. Thank you.

      This service was a follow up phone call with the Internal Revenue Service. Before we agreed to the service we spoke on the phone and I told the client that I would have to charge for my time/phone calls to follow up on the letter because of the exorbitant amount of hold times when calling the IRS. I told them I would charge for 2 hours of my time at $150 per hour, and that I'm not sure if this would be enough, but hopefully it was enough time to figure out any necessary next steps. This was agreed to and then I sent the invoice, thinking **** ****** understood she was paying hourly. I ended up spending nearly double the 2 hours, multiple calls and hold times, and transfers, without charging the client any additional fees. I did send updates via email stating that we were waiting a return call since all I could do is leave voice messages after being transferred to different departments.

      At this point the best option is to write a letter in response to the IRS correspondence and wait for a reply. I will be happy to write the letter for **** ****** that she can send on her own at no additional cost. That way the response can go directly to the client.

      Hello, 

      Thank you for helping us get in contact with *** ***** ****** at Tax Resolution in Bowie, MD. Unfortunately, *** ***** ****** has not sent us the letter she was supposed to write and that we were supposed to the IRS. We request the BBB follow-up with *** ***** ****** in regards to the status of the letter she is supposed to write and send to us so we can resolve a matter with the IRS.       Hello. I never received/read the message that **** ****** accepted the resolution for me to provide the letter. I am seeing it for the first time today. I will provide the letter by Sep 25, 2023.

      Attached is the letter that **** ****** should mail to the IRS. Please remember it takes IRS months to respond to calls and written correspondence, as you have seen with the original mailing, it took well over a year.
