I decided to try teencounseling.com because I really wanted my son to get therapy but couldn’t afford traditional therapy. I signed up and paid for 4 sessions, I was then told I would get “paired” with a therapist within a few days. It took longer than expected maybe about a week later I was matched with someone and I was given very few options for scheduling. None of the few times given to me as an option worked for me but I decided to try to make a Saturday morning work and ultimately missed my appointment. I was told there would be a fee of $15 for missed appointments which is understandable. But that was my only attempt to meet with the therapist as her schedule was very limited and unfortunately the opposite of my availability. My son ended up getting diagnosed with a thyroid disease and the remainder of the month I was not able to meet anyone. The next month I try to schedule an appointment and I get an email that says if I don’t pay again I can’t receive therapy? I paid for 4 sessions and got 0 I don’t understand why I would have to pay again and I was never told the sessions expire or I would be limited to certain days or times. I’ve tried contacting them through email 3 different times (that’s the only option given to me) and still haven’t gotten a response. I am very disappointed in the way they mislead you and take your money whether you receive service or not. I keep getting charge attempts from them but no response to my problem after 3 emails. They have no numbers that you can call to speak to anyone and they don’t respond to emails. Now I have to block my card and update all my accounts with a new debit card..my son never received therapy. Wish I would have put the money I gave them towards a real counseling session at least my son would have received some kind of therapy vs getting *******.

TeenCounseling.com is an outright exploitative service that preys on families in need of mental health support for their children. Charging $90 per week per child is outrageous, especially considering the lack of any affordable alternatives or flexible session frequencies. For two kids, this means a staggering $720 per month, making it utterly inaccessible for most families. Their claims about offering different plans are blatantly false. Despite their responses to reviews suggesting otherwise, they clearly state, "At this time, we do not offer a plan of this frequency, but you're certainly encouraged to apply for a discount since all members qualify. To apply, fill out the form at...". This misleading rhetoric is nothing more than a deceptive tactic to pacify dissatisfied customers. They act as though they are not the ones in control of their pricing and options, which is both insulting and dishonest. The reality is, TeenCounseling.com caters exclusively to wealthy families, completely ignoring the financial struggles of the average family. Their business model is designed to maximize profits at the expense of accessibility and affordability. If you are looking for mental health support for your children and are not among the wealthy elite, this service will leave you high and dry. Do not be fooled by their deceptive responses. TeenCounseling.com is not here to help; they are here to profit. Save your money and look for a more honest and affordable option for your family's mental health needs.
