This would be the 5th attempt to try and write this I cannot do another 2000 words And have it all erased again They fraudulently billed me...they took my money ...before there was a problem I brought it to their attention the work that they did failed all I wanted was a dependable reliable durable motor for my boat and they couldn't get it right and when they said they would take care of it when I finally had it there in their shop to have the work done they tried to send me to another engine builder They put me off they knew there was a problem they said they would take care of the problem they came out last fall knew there was a problem told me they would take care of it in the Spring of this year but when I got the boat motor over there to get to work done they decided they no longer wanted to accept responsibility for their work.... Really at this point I don't trust him to do any of the work anymore I'd rather just get my money back and go somewhere else... Also in the last 2 weeks I've done a lot of research and found out that there are a lot more unhappy customers then just me they just don't have the time it takes to get this done so it's more that they get away with

Business Response /* (1000, 15, 2022/09/27) */ CUSTOMER BROUGHT US HIS BB CHEVY ENGINE ON 11/7/2018. IT WAS JUST REBUILT BY ANOTHER COMPANY BUT HE DID NOT LIKE THE SOUND OF THE ENGINE AND SAID IT HAD NO POWER. WE DISASSEMBLED THE ENGINE, REHONED THE CYLINDERS, REPLACED RINGS, INSTALLED DIFFERENT CAMSHAFT, DEGREED CAM AND REASSEMBLED ENGINE WITH NEW GASKETS AND ORIGINAL PARTS FROM HIS NEWLY REBUILT ENGINE. CUSTOMER PICKED UP ENGINE ON 6/11/2019. ON 7/22/2021, 2 YEARS LATER, CUSTOMER REMOVED 1 CYLINDER HEAD AND BROUGHT IT TO US AND SAID HIS ENGINE OVERHEATED. WE PRESSURE TESTED HEAD (OK) AND RESURFACED HEAD (.005). CUSTOMER INSTALLED HEAD ON HIS ENGINE. IN AUGUST 2021, CUSTOMER CALLED AND SAID HIS ENGINE HAS LOW OIL PRESSURE. OUR SHOP RECOMMENDED TO CHANGE OIL - PROBABLY CONTAMINATED FROM OVERHEATING OR FUEL IN OIL. CUSTOMER SAID AFTER CHANGING OIL IT FIXED PROBLEM. CUSTOMER CALLED - ENGINE HAD LOW COMPRESSION AND LIFTER NOISE. ON 10/21/2021, CUSTOMER BROUGHT US THE ENGINE. WE TEST FIRED ENGINE - IT HAD LOW COMPRESSION ON 1 CYLINDER. WE REMOVED BOTH VALVE COVERS, READJUSTED ALL VALVES, FOUND VALVES TIGHT ON 1 CYLINDER, INSTALLED VALVE COVERS, REFIRED ENGINE, CHECKED TIMING AND SET CARBURETOR. CUSTOMER PICKED UP ON 8/22/2021. IN AUGUST 2022, CUSTOMER WANTED US TO REBUILD ENGINE. WE TOLD HIM THE TURN AROUND TIME ON ENGINE REBUILDS IS CURRENTLY 18 WEEKS. CUSTOMER SAID HE WANTED TO USE HIS BOAT STILL THIS YEAR - HE IS PAYING FOR BOAT SLIP. WE RECOMMENDED ANOTHER REPUTABLE SHOP THAT WOULD BE ABLE TO REBUILD HIS ENGINE IN A WEEK OR TWO. WE HAVE WRITTEN DOCUMENTATION OF THE MACHINE WORK AND PARTS REPLACED. WE FEEL WE HAVE GONE OVER AND ABOVE TO HELP THIS CUSTOMER. IN ADDITION, IF YOU VISIT CUSTOMER'S FACEBOOK PAGE, YOU WILL SEE VIDEOS OF THIS ENGINE RUNNING - MAY 27, 2020 WITH THE COMMENT "JUST SOME TLC...TO MAKE HER LOOK AS GOOD AS IT SOUNDS" AND ON MARCH 21, 2022 - WITH NO NEGATIVE COMMENTS OR COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE ENGINE. Consumer Response /* (3000, 24, 2022/10/19) */ Craig ******** Tue, Oct 18, 10:38 PM (10 hours ago) to me Hi Lisa and to all interested parties Let me 1st start that I've used this company for over 20 years and never did I questioned my bill or never did I not pay my bill......The 1st sentence starts as a deflection of responsibility the other builder they mention USED JB's to do all of the machine work For him..... most of the Rebuttal letter is an untruth.....I NEVER.AT ANY TIME HAD I .TAKEN A PART TO THEM ...EVERYTIME..they did any kind of work on my .engine.. I BY MYSELF...USING THEY'RE ELECTRIC CRANE IN THE BACK OF THEY'RE SHOP...I WOULD pull the......WHOLE ENGINE ....out of the boat...EVERYTIME....meaning they are fibbing about me bringing them a cylinder head...to be pressure tested... And at NO TIME did I ever say the engine was overheated ....WHAT I did say that there was a LOW oil pressure problem ..and there was a lifter tapping........AT THIS TIME THERE WAS ONLY ABOUT.....3 TOTAL HRS ..on this new engine...and the lifter was tapping intermittently... Since I had already Invested so much money into this engine I wanted to make sure it was right so...again I removed the engine in the back of they're of their shop and according to them they went through the whole engine and re adjusted all the lifters according to their receipt the engine had been gone thru and was ready...So I pulled my boat back over to their shop and re install the engine and paid my bill...that was 10/22/21... At that time I was happy I even took a video and posted of what a great job they did what I also have is a video of that same engine intimately making a lot of noise inside the boat on the same day but I didn't want to throw anybody under the bus I figured . they would do the right thing....a week after that happened I called numerous times Tommy Finally came to to my house with the 2' long piece of hose and listened to the lifters... That happened .. Roughly about the 1st of November of 21..he said There was definitely a problem with the motor... And he would take care of it.... it was Just starting too get cold and he Said he would take care of it the 1st Part of the year when it got warm ...fast forward to .about May... I called several times .. To get a time to bring it back over to them ..I spoke to **** she said it could be just a piece of debris stuck in the lifter .a week or so later ... I called back and Tommy told me to just go run the Dang thing and it would work itself out... Practically begged them to come look at this motor before something happened....and Tommy said he had full confidence in the work that he had done last October on his workbench. .... I chose not to go run the motor...... I finally talked to Jerry and he told me bring the boat over and they would at least look at it and try to fix the problem ... after about . 3 weeks no response..... I drove over there to speak with them personally. On 8/8/22... they just blew me off.. and they tried to send me up the road to another motor builder. After all this turmoil I did take it to another engine builder So when I saw the Same lifters from 3 years ago in the motor that was supposed to be rebuilt for the 3rd time they reused the same Lifters ....... As I said before I had time and money invested in it already... so another few hundred dollars for a set of N E W roller lifters would have been trivial to get the job done right....You can call anybody in the motor business will tell you never use used lifters on a new Cam shaft which they admitted to doing in the receipt...... They also CHARGED me for putting on a ring gear and for a starter .....That I went and bought and put on myself in the back of their shop while they were trying to set the timing..that was 8/16/21... that was a result from using old ring gear they said they put on and charged me for. I had to bring the motor back over pull it out again leave it with them...again....to put the ring gear on. When the new starter hung up on the dead spot of the old ring gear that's why I know they never changed it.... this is before the engine problem even started... I reiterate this because again I never checked my receipts or what they charged me for because I trusted them for so long before this happened..... Ide Also like to note for the record that the original engine builder that they are speaking about ..In they're opening statement ,,NOW.. works for their company now and they think that this is a personal attack on them because of this person working at their business now.. which it's not...... I just paid a lot of money to have a reputable company do the right thing and build me a dependable boat engine and stand behind they're work... Thank you for your time and effort Craig
