I used this company to assist in completing a renovation project. The electricians and staff were friendly and pleasant, on time and even made a special trip out to attempt to bring the project to completion before a holiday. I was disappointed in the attention to detail on the project, I took the time to draft mock blueprints and a list of expectations prior to paying/signing anything to ensure I received adequate pricing and got everything I wanted. Many things on the list were ignored or missed, and a few items did not work properly. When addressed I received a “your balance is overdue and you are in contract default” and “you rushed to have the bedroom done before the end of the year and I worked on your project to get it completed”, as requested I went against our contract and paid the remainder of my balance. My contract with CK Electric, stated that if the project does not require an inspection, “payment is due after work is complete”. Somehow, I managed to pay 50% up front and an additional $500 change order (that I thought was included in our original proposal), before the work was even halfway completed. The accusation of being in contract default showed that, not only did they not pay attention to detailed instructions I provided them, they also do not pay attention to the terms and conditions in their own contract terminology. From my experience, it is easier to just pay your “bill” and hire somebody else, so that’s what I did, approximate loss of $1,400.00. I decided to use this company because of their outstanding online reputation, promptness, and initial customer service; with confidence I can say the reviews and reputation online are in no way adequate to my experience with CK Electric, LLC.
