I paid for a candle workshop class for my friend and I to celebrate a friend's birthday who came to town to celebrate her birthday. I purchased a ticket for the class that was supposed to occur on 6/25/2022 in advance. The day of 6/25/22 we received an email from the company stating that they have to reschedule the class for the next day on 6/26/22. They stated if we are not able to attend the new class date we have up to 90 days to apply the credit for the rescheduled class to another class. My friend and I could not make the rescheduled class due to us already having plans and reservations for events the next day (6/26/22). I contacted the company and they were unresponsive both times. I filed a claim through my bank and they provided me a provisional credit, however, the credit was overturned due to the fact that I have to solve the dispute with the merchant and not through my bank unfortunately. I paid $65.00 for the class. The merchant canceled and rescheduled the class. I believe they should have provided an option for a refund. I am a student and had a busy summer and I do not have the availability to attend a class before 9/25/22. They were very unprofessional with canceling the class and not providing a reason and letting the customer know ahead of time. When I tried reaching out they never replied. I would like a refund please and thank you. I do not think it is right to not be provided with a refund for a class that was canceled by the merchant.
