I purchase a 2023 ****** Pontoon Boat from Nadeaus Marine on 2, May 2023 for the amount of $28000.00 On 24 May 2023 The boat was delivered to woodbury public boat launch. My son **** and I met with the driver/mechanic delivering the boat where he put the boat in the water and tied up to the dock. The Mechanic, my son ****, and I, boarded the boat and mechanic gave us little instruction. I pointed at a button bellow the throttle which he didn't know what it went to, The mechanic told me to push it to see what it does, The top moved and thats when he said O you have and electric top but he didn't no initially what that button did. My son and I pulled out of the dock and under the bridges not using the top at all since it was already in the down position, My son and I returned to our home dock and parked it for the night. 5/25/23 Thursday we went out still not using the canopy, we decided to see how it would up. Thats when we noticed it was straining to go up and the canopy motor was very hot to the touch. but it had gone up. My son and I parked the boat for the night with the canopy in the up position. Friday 5/26/23, My son and i tried to see if we could put the top down, Nothing happen, the top didnt budge. My son and I wanted to go out and under the bridge and we had company comming that Sat 5/28/23. My son and I disconnected the motor and took the top off, and put it on the grass. Tuesday 5/30/23 I Called Nadeaus Marine and they told me to put it back on the boat and try it again and if that didnt work bring it in. So we brought the hole canopy in the up position back to the marine which is less than 5 miles from my house. By the time I returned home, the marine called saying they couldn't find anything wrong with it and returnning to install it Two maint, guys showed up installed it same results, The two guys took off the canopy jabbed a srewdriver in the canvas and wrench it down on there PU truck and said it was being replaced anyway, and drove off. Two weeks had passed and I had assummed it was on order I had heard nothing back in that time about anything when I decided to go into Nadeaus marine on 6/17/23 I met with ******** who told me they dont cover canopys on the warranty and that I have to talk with *** on Monday. Monday 6/26/23 *********** me some story of young child her Mechanics witnessed fooling around with the button and they werent liable for it and that I could go through my Insurance to claim the **** replacement.Customer response

We brought our Boat into ********* Marine in Litchfield for winterization and storage in September of 2021. On May 18th of 2022, we had our Boat Spring Commissioned by them as well and when we asked what that entailed they went down through the list of the services. The woman behind the desk stated," We prepare it so it can be put right in the water to go have fun with, without disappointment." After we picked up our boat that day we brought it home and were unable to put it in the water until May 30th on the holiday due to hectic work schedules. We put it in the water and it started up fine went to put it in gear to give it some throttle and started shaking and making a loud ticking and skipping sound. Brought the boat back home due to them being closed because of the holiday that day. Got it home checked the Fluids and there was no power steering fluid in the power steering pump. The oil was overfilled and coming out of the dipstick tube. Checking all fluids was part of the spring commissioning. We brought it back with the concerns and what was going on mechanically wanting them to fix the fluids expecting a phone call of hey this is what we diagnosed the problem as and this is how much it's going to cost to fix like usual mechanic garages. My wife then received an invoice 3 days later saying that they adjusted 3 loose valves and that ***** was all it was going to cost and that it was ready to be picked up. We went to pick up the boat brought it home and then checked the fluids and discovered the oil level was where it was supposed to be but the power steering pump still had no fluid in it. We had to call them the next day as they were closed and they said yup we have a bottle of power steering fluid its right here for 5 bucks, instead of saying oh were are so sorry if you want you can come and pick up a bottle for free that's our mess up. I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint.have called and left 3 messages and no one will call us back to fix the problem. Got a hold of one lady that works the desk and she took down our information to have the own or manager call us but that was a week ago and still no response pretty sure we need a new engine on top of a bilge pump.
