The original proposal for roofing replacement was dated 8/30/2021 with an estimate of $12.500.00; this included a full roof replacement for the house and separate garage. The monetary payments were stated as $6,250.00 down payment, $2,000.00 payment upon completion of the garage and final payment of $4,250.00 upon completion of the house. *********************, the business owner, began the garage roof in late October and asked for an additional $1,000.00 on 10/28, then another payment of $2,000.00 on 11/8, another payment of $3,500.00 on 11/15. These additional amounts to the original proposal were to cover unforeseen roof repairs, not visible until the shingles had been removed. The house has an attached front porch, which had been included in the original proposal, but not finished in the fall. **** said he would return in the spring (2022) to finish. I initiated contact with him in May, inquiring when he would begin the porch roof. He then requested an additional $3,000.00 cash for materials and labor which was paid to him on 5/26 with the agreement that he would do the porch roofing the first week of June. He failed to show and after many failed attempts to reach him, with only one success, he was told that I wanted the $3,000,00 returned and I would find another contractor to do the job. He said he didn't have the money, but would get to the porch roof job soon. It is now the middle of August, **** is a no show and doesn't respond to my messages. I have since been contacted by another individual that related **** has also taken their money, but never returned to do the job. Ecovision has made no attempt to resolve the matter. The $3,000.00 has not been refunded, nor has the agreed job been done.Customer response

I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint. There has been no response to my phone text messages despite the fact I have seen the individual in question riding in his vehicle with equipment in the rear bed of his truck. This indicates to me that he is indeed still actively doing business and is blatantly ignoring any communication. I have spoken with other individuals which also have hired this business do a job, for which he has taken the money, but never showed up to do the work. He definitely is engaged in a scamming scheme.
