Port City Builders would like to take this opportunity to provide detailed documentation in response to ******************** complaint. In order to provide a full scale understanding to 3rd parties in a public forum it is necessary to expound on some details of the business relationship between ************************* and Port City Builders that began prior to the complaint at hand.
Reference able documents are designated in brackets indicated A1 - A18, documents have been emailed to the address provided by ***********************: ********************************************.
Beginning in December of ***************** requested several services to be performed by Port City Builders on her residence[A1 - A2]. One of the services ****** requested of Port City Builders was the management of resolving her complaints regarding work that was performed by several previous contractors. This included structural and aesthetic work on her residence. From December 2021 - July 2022, per ******* documented request, Port City Builders provided management services to assist her in resolving her complaints against several other contractors whom she had hired to work on her residence[A3 - A6]. As of the last walk through of her residence on 7/22/2022 ****** has not provided Port City Builders with any compensation for her request of management services in her complaints with other contractors. Port City Builders will process the requested refund upon payment from ************************* for management services provided to her, per her documented requests.
Additionally, Port City Builders would like to address ******************** statement of the work slowing and stopping by providing further detailed documentation surrounding this statement. On 5/31/22 it was confirmed by ******, ******** and Port City Builders that work would begin at her house on the week of 6/20/22[A7]. Port City Builders scheduled the week of 6/20/22 - 6/27/22 to complete this work and outlined a workflow to ensure ample time to complete the agreed upon work. In the time from 5/27/22 - 6/20/22, as well as throughout the week of 6/20/22 - 6/27/22, ****** sent several emails and text messages adding to and changing the agreed upon scope of work[A8 - A12]. Port City Builders advised ****** that adding to the originally agreed upon work would result in increased pricing as well as extended scheduling and that the following months were already booked with other contracted work. To provide a background detail, Port City Builders was contracted for a large-scale job out of town over the course of the months April 2022 - November 2022 and had made time to schedule in Lauries originally agreed upon scope of work with ample time. ****** expressed understanding in the matter and stated that any work that couldnt be completed during the week of 6/20/22 - 6/27/22 could be scheduled at later dates. At the end of the week of 6/27/22 Port City Builders communicated to ****** that the work remaining on her residence would have to be scheduled in between other work, as agreed upon by ****** at the time of her changing the scope and flow of the originally agreed upon work[A13]. ****** suggested that she pre-pay for the portion of painting that was yet to be completed[A14]. Port City Builders determined a workflow for the remaining work, prioritizing the items that had already been paid for (850ft2 of painting) which was clearly communicated to ******. Over the following weeks Port City Builders attempted to schedule the painting, only to be told by ****** that she would not permit any more work to be done in her residence unless alternate items were prioritized over the items that were already paid for. Port City Builders respectfully requested to be permitted to complete the 850ft2 of painting, to which ****** refused unless the work was to be scheduled on several consecutive weekdays with the priority being items that had yet to be paid for[A15 - A18]. This request made it extremely challenging for Port City Builders to accommodate, as was previously stated to ****** that a large-scale job of several months was in progress out of town and working time in ******** was sporadic and minimal. The work performed by Port City Builders on ******* residence slowed and stopped as a result of ****** changing the scope of work and the parameters for completing the work.
Port City Builders will process a refund in the agreed amount of $2,125.00 for 850ft2 of painting upon ************************* providing payment for the management services that she requested and that were provided to her from December 2021 - July 2022.

Port City Builders Complaint,
All warranty work I specifically requested be completed by previous contractor as it was at their cost. I never okd Port City to do this work and asked them not to. Port City was instructed to check in with them as Port City was completing the other items on my list to ensure work was being completed. The warranty worker was there for a brief time. I later found out that ***************** of Port City had offered to do the remaining warranty work for the previous contractor and to bill them directly. I was never aware of the agreement and not a party to it.
The invoices from Port City are vague and I repeatedly asked for more detailed invoices. I have texts and emails showing this. The invoices in Port Citys reply indicating I have an amount due I know nothing about and have not received. They appeared after I filed my complaint. I would also like to request an independent party come to my home to see the scope and quality of Port Citys work, to measure the square footage of the painting that was complete. I believe it was much less than what is stated and also that I may have been double billed for insurance work and the remaining house work. I was quoted and paid for an experienced professional painter. Fixtures were left in place during painting now have paint pooled around them and on them. It needs to be redone. The attached pictures show the quality of the work. The finish work is lacking too. Other work they have done is also in question. Support beams were notched in my basement for brackets to be installed because of settling issues that Port City pressed needed to be done immediately. It was later determined to be the washer flooding not settling so this work was not needed, cost thousands, and hopefully didnt cause any further damageBusiness response

The invoices Port City Builders are requesting payment for I never received. These invoices were produced after I filed my complaint and requested payment. I also believe further payment is due to **** would like to have an independent party measure exactly what was painted by Port City Builders and if it needs to be redone due to its poor quality. There is other work completed that is also in question. I would like a fair resolution to this.
