Beware Outdoor Adventures is under investigation for business practices that violate Consumer Protection Act. They use high pressure sales to rope you in then make promises they will not keep. They recently bought a campground in ** and are continuing these practices. The ** in NY state has been notified and hopefully she will also begin an investigation into this company and it's shady practicesOutdoor Adventures, Inc. Response

We were lied to by **** while his Father sat buy and watched. We were never told we had 3 days to decide we were pressured to make a decision because of lower cost only available that day. The membership we bought was not what we were promised, I can sell it but I in good conscience can't do this to someone else. It's a very sad situation and the campgrounds are old and dirty, the water is not drinkable and I wouldn't take a shower either. The least Outdoor Adventures could do is buy it back and resell it, but they will not offer any help what so ever. They just bully and threaten. ******************* ?? deal with this and **** them.Outdoor Adventures, Inc. Response

Negative stars should be an option! This place is a joke, and I will NEVER recommend this to anyone. BEWARE and stay away. False information, false promises just to lure people in. We havent been to any locations since the year we purchased. Very dirty, disgusting and nothing like advertised. All they want is your money, after they get it they could care less. I wish I had read up on this prior to commitment, because this by far will be one of the biggest mistakes anyone can make. We even tried cancelling, and once again they want more money... for something we havent used in years just to walk away from it, they request thousands of dollars! WHAT A SCAM! try finding a positive about this place, you never will!! STAY AWAY!!!Outdoor Adventures, Inc. Response

We go above and beyond to be transparent in all written and verbal communication. The ****** entered into a legitimate debt agreement in 2019 where the terms and conditions of the member agreement are clearly documented. The ****** have purchased a 10-year membership that has great value. With their membership, they have unlimited day use at all 9 of resorts in ******** and they can come any time and enjoy premier amenities, such as indoor and outdoor pools, hot tubs, putt putt golf, kayaking, paddle boarding, nature trails, planned adult and kid activities and so much more. In terms of our facilities being dirty, we have no record of the ****** providing specific examples of what they experienced during their visits to our resorts almost 5 years ago. Our ****** Services Director has spoken to them several times and has made an offer to terminate the membership that the ****** have refused. Our ****** Services Director is happy to continue helping them with questions about their membership and how to make the most of it or they can work with us directly on how to exit the membership early.Review from Madison B

I bought a membership with my husband. At the time they told us we could cancel whenever, and that there was no need to worry. Now that weve canceled, they proceeded to charge a good *** card over $3,000 to help us afford our membership. So Im paying on a card that I never bought anything on for years! Stay far far away from them!Outdoor Adventures, Inc. Response

******** our response hasn't changed since you submitted a similar review in April 2023. Your original agreement with Outdoor Adventures clearly states the terms of the financing. In March 2021, you also signed a voluntary membership release agreement that stated you are responsible for third-party financing without a refund. Your membership has been terminated and you have no obligations to Outdoor Adventures. Outdoor Adventures has been in business for almost 30 years and we have many happy campers that enjoy our premier amenities and campground resorts.Review from Tom F

I purchased a Membership with Outdoor Adventures and Venture Out Resorts years ago and me and my wife have not used it in probably 3 or 4 years but I still pay my dues on a quarterly basis. Well I missed the January 10th cutoff to pay my dues and Outdoor Adventures called my on January 12 and reminded me that I had missed my quarterly payment and we are adding a $15.00 late fee which equivalates to a 10% late fee on top of my quarterly payment and would I like to pay that today. I said sure I will pay it if you remove the late fee and they said no they cannot do that. So I asked when is it due by then? They said before April 1- I said ok Ill pay it on March 30 will you please note my account. The lady started arguing with me that Sir I cannot tell you that we will not be calling you weekly to remind your account is late. We have to call you when you name pops up. Two days later I get another call from Outdoor Adventures and Venture Out Resorts reminding me that my Membership dues were late and If I would like to pay for them today? I told the lady I told you guys a couple of days ago that I would be paying the Dues prior to the end of the quarter and to please stop calling me. She said *** we have to call whenever your name pops up on the screen and then I had asked to speak with the Manager and she said no one was available and I had asked to have one call me and still no call as of 8:09am on Thursday. This isnt the first time this had happened to me and I hear it from other Members as well about the nightmares with them calling and harassing you about a simple payment. Outdoor Adventures and Venture Out Resorts harass you nonstop by calling you at all times of the day and night at least once a week until they get your payment. I am done with them and will be cancelling my Membership with them and I advise anyone not to buy into Outdoor Adventures and Venture Out Campgrounds ever- they are a nightmare and stay away. The raise your dues and whenever they want to.Outdoor Adventures, Inc. Response

***, our Billing Team Manager called you yesterday and she was unable to get a hold of you. We are willing to waive your late fee. Our billing representatives were following policy, but we do work with our Members on a case-by-case basis. Our Billing Manager will try calling you again today, or please feel free to reach out to us at *********************************** Also, our notes indicate weve called you three times regarding your late payment, but if you are referring to other calls youve received, please let us know. We encourage you to reach out as soon as possible so we can work with you and discuss your concerns further.Review from AC

Dont do it is our advice!!We purchased an RV after selling our home and at the time it seemed like a great idea and something our kids would enjoy. We use ***************** as our home base since we have family and friends that live near by.Every time we enter the park its nothing short of nightmare. The park is over run by unsupervised children running amok. The sites are dirty when you pull in. The gym is a joke most of the equipment is broken probably due to the unsupervised kids still wet from the leaving the pool! The pool looks dirty and disgusting but have no fear it gets checked daily. You pay a $40 linen fee for the cabins because of problems with bed bugs well beware my husband got bitten by bed bugs!!!We had to move three times and that all started because of critters in the wall and ants!We called in advance to change are payment card, well they ended up charging both cards which gave us an overdraft fee. They explained it as a glitch in the system. You sign a contract, they give you a handbook which they have the right to change any of the rules or sell any of the other properties promised to you!At the end of your stay they email you a survey. From the bed bugs experience unless its employee related good luck on a call back.Just dont do it!!Its a lot of money every month plus lets not forget the maintenance fee and unless youre locked in they will raise it! They have wonderful state parks and campgrounds through out ***************** utilizing them would be more cost effective than entering into a contract with them.Save your money! We wish we would have done more research.Pretty sure Outdoor Adventure will be reaching out.Lets make it easy dont bother!Outdoor Adventures, Inc. Sadly, I have not been able to participate in the facilities or their offerings due to an illness. I informed Outdoor Adventures that I would not be able to pay due to the illness, bills, and potential loss of home. Within a few months my account was turned over to a collection agency. I am disappointed that I was not able to work with the company on releasing me from the contract since I have not been able to take advantage of their facilities.Outdoor Adventures, Inc. Response

We were pressured into a membership back in 2019. Little did we know, our sales person started a credit card for both my husband and I. His credit card had purchases on it for a smaller amount than mine. Our sales person essentially charged our membership to each of our cards. Luckily his credit wasnt as good as mine at the time, and they didnt charge his for alot. Now I have over ***** left to pay on a credit card, that I didnt purchase anything on! When I called Outdoor Adventures they stated they could do that & its part of their contract. Stay far away from this place!!!Outdoor Adventures, Inc. Response
