On 1-4-2022 had viehcle towed to Redford **** at customer expense. informed ******(worker) that auto did not start need a starter according to AAA towing svc man. Was quoted $275.00 Husband called to inform shop that we was not for certain what problem was, however to call us with diagnosis.. received a call 3 hrs later from Shop, stating it wasn't the starter, because he put a new starter on car and it fit start replaced it with the original starter and said I stilled owed $200.00. I then asked what was wrong with the car? He stated it will take another $200.00 to run a diagnostic test, which doesn't include the cost to repair, on 1/8/22 was notified that the problem was electrical need mechanic to look into programming viechle was quoted a $900.00 I stated that the $275.00 was unfair and should be waived mechanic refused. I went to pick up my car on 1/8/23 drove home went to start car on 1/11/22 car won't start.. Informed *** at the shop owner stated he would have a tow truck at his expense to pick up car. Redford **** charge me $900.00 and did nothing I mean Nothing..I want my money back. Stating you replaced a Brain in my viechle does not suffice. I have no proof that anything was done to my viechle it is doing the same thing it was doing before they took my money. I want to file a complaint. **** services was not fulfilled.

This complaint was taken down, and then put back up again. Customer actually apologized. No refund will be given. We took very good care of this client. Vehicle was towed in "needing a starter," they did not ask us to diagnose this. If they hadn't deleted previous complaint this would be on there. We replaced starter as we were asked too. Was not the problem. Vehicle did not start. We tested the starter that was taken off and it was testing good. We called customer, told them it seemed to be an electrical issue, that we wouldn't charge to remove and replace the starter they had us put on but they would need to pay for an electrical diagnosis. Customer agreed. Problem was in fact electrical. Once the electrical problem was addressed the vehicle started right up. Was test driven etc. If it was not a fixed problem, the customer would not have been able to  pick up the car and drive it at all. Then we got the call that it wouldn't start again, We had it towed up at no cost to the customer. this time the starter did test badly. Most likly from being taken off and put back on twice. We charged them strictly for the part and nothing else. No refund will be given.
