      I paid them to fix a water leak in my sunroom. They replaced wood, siding, gutters and roof. I called them back out because water was still coming through. When they were pulling the siding back off, it was revealed that it was never put on right. The repairs they did actually made the leaking worse than before. I have asked the owner, ****, for some of my money back to get this fixed by a different contractor and he has just ignored me.

      We replace the roof and siding on this small sunroom. She is correct, there is an ongoing leak. We are certain that it is coming from the windows, which was not installed by us. She was going to call us in the spring so we could spray a hose on different sections of the room to pinpoint the exact area (window) that is leaking.

       

      I never received that spring phone call and assumed she got the windows fixed. I am now finding out differently through the BBB. I am would be more than happy to do this water test and/or help in any way I can.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      When the water first started coming in, *****, the owner, had his worker, ******, come out and do a water test. ****** sprayed water on the windows and siding and told us it was coming in through the windows. I had two window professionals come check out the windows. Both professionals said the windows were not leaking. One of the window professionals is also proficient in siding too. He found problems with the siding. I contacted ***** and he had ****** come back out to fix it. I took pictures and sent them to the owner. These pictures revealed how the siding wasn’t installed correctly in the first place. They also revealed new mistakes and openings where water could get in through gaps that were not sealed correctly.
      On 10/28/22, ***** texted me back and told me he would look at my pictures and would contact me later when he wasn’t in his truck. I never received a call or text from him.


      On 11/11/22, I texted the owner letting him know we have water coming in from multiple places and the situation is much worse than before. I asked him for a refund to get it fixed correctly.
      He did not return my text or any of my phone calls.

      On 12/15/22, I tried to contact him again with pictures showing him the water that was coming in and asked again for a refund to get this fixed correctly. *****, the owner, did not respond or contact me back.

      After repeatedly ignoring my texts and phone calls, my husband was able to contact him from a number unknown to *****. ***** told my husband that when it got warmer outside, they would come out and do another test by taping up the windows and squirting water on the siding to find out if the water is coming through the windows or siding. During the warmer season, we never heard anything from *****. My husband did try to call him again from the same number, and there was no answer.
       
      D.W. Roofing and Construction, LLC. has had multiple opportunities to correct their unsatisfactory work and have failed to do so. Multiple times we have requested a refund to get these continued leaks repaired and have been ignored. If the owner really wants to “…help in any way I can” refund our money so we can finally get this room repaired correctly.

      Constituent states that her finance company contacted her regarding contractor that was repairing roof
      starting as of 6/30/2022, and installing gutters and states that the finance company already paid for job
      to be completed and states that she has repairs that are not completed an states that the contractor
      informed her that his crew would have to come back out to complete repairs, an states that the repairs
      were suppose to be a 2 day job that has been going on the past year. She states the finance company
      service finance has paid the contractor for the repair services for a job that the constituent is stating that
      are still not completed. The total cost of the home improvement was $14,000

      We completed this work last year.

      This year we were informed that water was running down the roof and some was running behind the the gutters.

      We scheduled a date to make these repairs. Unfortunately the person scheduled to do this work had a serious construction accident the day before. We sent our customer an explanation along with pictures and our apology. We are now in the process of re-scheduling. 

      We are ready and more than happy to take care of these issues..

      Details are in the PDF below. DW Roofing has replaced my roof on two occassions in the last three years. In the first case there is a new leak that needs to be fixed. In the second case there is extensive damage to property. I would like the leak to be repaired immediately and in the future, it is likely that I will need money to complete repairs to the house.

      This is the third job we were hired to do for this customer. She prefers to have her roof replaced in small increments as apposed to doing the complete roof at one time. 

      The first day we showed up we had a dumpster delivered, as we had done on the previous job. She didn't want the dumpster at her house becouase it took up too much space in the parking area. without a problem we had the dumpster removed (at our expense) and used pick up trucks to haul the debris back and forth to the dump. She (our customer) states "the foreman leaving for hours at a time". This was due to multiple trips to the city dump trying to oblige our customer.

      She also had many rules for us to follow:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  1) No smoking on the property                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                2) No talking on the roof near the roof vents                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              3) No playing music  Etc. Etc....                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  We followed all of these rules. The music she is refering to was coming from the neighbors house.

      While our roofers were working on the roof she was shouting instructions from the ground. At this time one roofer, unfortunetely stepped on a boared that was damaged and his leg went through the roof causing damage to the ceiling in a bedroom. We are taking complete responsibility for this. We are very capable of making these repairs. We have offered, but she does not want us to do the work. We have recommended other proffesionals and we would be more than happy to pick up all expenses. She does not want this either. We will continue trying to resolve this issue. We would have liked to have everything corrected, but at this point we are waiting on her to inerview random contractors.

      The leak in the roof she mentions was caused by a faulty electric pole boot. This has been replaced. 

      We are very hopeful, and very willing to work out every issue.
