I was sold a home that I was not told the truth about. Before the closing, I asked if I could see the paperwork I would be signing before the appointment. ********************* was always very defensive concerning the sale, and he would not let me, stating that he could tell me anything I needed to know. After I signed the purchase agreement, the manager asked me if I knew anyone who was a handyman, so he was aware of the problems this home had. Why didn't they ask me that prior to the purchase? The salesman, ********************* told me that the home had double insulation in it. He also would not allow me to turn on the furnace, saying it worked fine. I purchased the home in April 2021 when the temperature was still on the cool side. When the temperature and humidity warmed up, a very pungent urine smell became noticeable in the master bathroom of the house. I complained about it and the manager came and said he sprayed something under the home and put in some vented skirting but it didn't fix the problem. The problem is not coming from under the home. The prior resident had a dog and it urinated on the floor and other places in the master bathroom. ***** also told me there were quiet older women who lived in the neighboring homes. It became apparent very quickly that this was not the case. The woman next door began harassing me as soon as I moved in and has not stopped getting in my business since. The manager cited her for driving a truck through my yard and I had to make a police report on her for screaming at me out her window and harassing me about my roof and playing loud music. The truth about the home is that it has very little insulation and no sound proofing and I might as well live with my neighbors. The furnace is old and is in need of replacing. The appliances are old and have had to be fixed. The electrical wiring in the home shorts out in the wall plugs.
