On May 9, 2022, BBB requested that the company substantiate, modify, or discontinue advertising claims on the company's website. Specifically, the website advertises "Benefits, Incentives and Savings", which includes the following savings claims: "Most of our solar homeowners 40%-60% or more off their power bills", "savings start from day one", "Go solar with no money out-of-pocket", and "tax breaks, IRS write-offs, and other clean energy programs"

According to the BBB Code of Advertising, the primary responsibility for truthful and non-deceptive advertising rests with the advertiser. When a business claims that its product or service can save a percentage of energy, the business should be able to substantiate those claims with recent and competent testing or other objective data. Advertisements that include rebate promotions must clearly disclose who is providing the rebate, its terms and conditions, including the key terms of any purchase requirements.

During our review, we also noted the following on the website’s “About Us” page: “SkyVision Energy has an A+ rating and is accredited with the Better Business Bureau.” and “SkyVision Energy has also been ranked as the Best Company to Work for in Utah Business Magazine, one of the fastest-growing companies in Utah, and a rising star in the solar field across the U.S.”

The business did provide product and warranty brochures, phone scripts, and other marketing materials. While the business was initially responsive, they failed to substantiate, modify, or discontinue the advertised claims mentioned above or respond to follow up questions.

This business is not a BBB Accredited Business and BBB could not independently substantiate any of the above claims, including any business operations in Utah or recognition from Utah Business Magazine.

In May 2022, BBB investigated the business and requested additional information about Sky Vision Energy's business practices.

While initially responsive, the company did not respond to BBB’s request for the following information. 

1. Michigan Builder’s License and/or corporate registration for All Premium Contractors.
2. Average system cost including installation, and the average payback period.
3. A list of specific incentives, tax breaks, IRS write-offs, and other clean energy programs referenced in sales presentations. Links to websites would be preferred.
4. Besides the homeowner(s), who attends the initial in-home appointment (their trade and/or position within the company)
5. Please provide sample copies of all written agreements used with consumers in the past 90 days.

The business informed BBB that All Premium Contractors would install solar energy systems sold by Sky Vision Energy. BBB was unable to locate a corporate record or construction license issued to "All Premium Contractors" through the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA). BBB encourages interested consumers to verify this information via LARA's online portal or 517-241-0199.
