******* installed on 3/9/2022 for a total of $17,460. 8/25/2023 contacted the company regarding my skylight leaking following a storm. 9/01/2023 returned to business because no one had contacted me yet 9/04/2023 a roofer came and caulked the skylight. While working on the roof, he had pulled back some shingles and reported that there were a lot of ***** nails already. 9/14/2023 called office to request verification if this was an issue 10/30/2023 went to office complaining NO ONE has, as of yet, contacted me 2/12/2024 T-J Roofing replaced the skylight with a new one. At that time, they provided a verbal second opinion regarding the condition of the roof and took pictures. They felt the rust and improper placement of nails were an issue and should be looked at further.2/13/2024 went to office to complain no one has contacted me and to inform them that I had received a second opinion that was not favorable. BBB was going to be my next step if contact was not made 3/20/2024 filed with BBB

I am rejecting this response because:
      - there has been no accountability for ***** nails

      - someone needs to check out possible damage (wetness) to insulation

      - kitchen ceiling has water damage spots and needs to be addressed

      Sincerely,

On August 25th of this year I transferred an insurance check amount of $13,165.10, per his request, into **** *****'s account for Affordable Construction Company. His contract reads that he was reshingling my roof; both the house and the garage, the siding for the house, and to replace the front bow picture window in the living room. All that has been completed is the roofing on the house. The roofers broke the light by the back door when shoving shingles off of the roof. They didn't have the decency to tell me. I want the rest of my money back. I figure $4,800 for the roof is more than substantial as he used a discontinued color and used day laborers to do the job. They scraped holes in the wood on my roof. I truly doubt they replaced all the wood. In the complaint that I just filed I said I want them to finish the job. I have changed my mind I don't want that man or his "workers" on my property. I just want my money back. I need to hire a reputable construction company to complete the work. I believe affordable construction company is run more like a savings and loan;savings for him and loaned to everybody else.

Transaction a ********* was August 25th 2023. I want a refund. I find that he was allotted $8,000 to do the roof on my house; which is all he has done. I would like a refund of the rest of the money of $5,365.10 as well as any money that he had included regarding labor on the garage roof. He is not going to finish any work because I fired him.

Good morning. The amount that missus ********** gave down was 13,165.10.  That was the first payment that the insurance company released. I have had many many hours working on this with the insurance company. I will be happy to give Mrs. *********. The money back from her deposit less with the insurance company paid to have the roof done on the house. The insurance company paid. $9,489.15. The balance of $3,675.95. Can be returned to the homeowner. I am not charging anything extra for the extra time. That we had fun this working on it. Just what it paid out for the roof that we did on the home.

When **************** shoved shingles off the side of my home, during tear off, they broke my light fixture at the back door. It is hanging by wires. This fixture survived the ***2 Tornado on June 15, 2023. I am going to need to hire an electrician to have this fixed. I feel that Affordable Construction ** is liable for property damage. I have pictures of the intact fixture after the tornado. It is in one piece.
