My father requires healthcare and we hired Comfort Keepers (May 1, 2023) to help out in the home he resides. The ***************** came to the home and we were told they would do typical household jobs (clean dishes, sweep & mop floors, ect.) they would not do such jobs which added to the work for the Head of the household (one thing we were trying to avoid). We were assured they would assist with getting information to the doctor and coordinating hours with the VA (healthcare). They said that my father did not qualify for Respite through the VA care. We cancelled the contract with Comfort Keepers on October 6, 2023, ad moved on to a different company. Since then Comfort keepers has been back billing the VA health insurance for Respite and the VA has been paying, which puts Comfort keepers into DOUBLE billing for days they were paid on for Insurance and hours that we paid OUT-OF-POCKET because we didn't have Respite available to us. I'd bet they do this to more than one person and it is over-looked so easily. It's illegal! This can happen to anyone, even when you have a lot on your plate and you hope that the Company that is there to help is "in fact" helping. If someone wants more information I can send a boat load.Business response

Upon thorough investigation, it has been determined that we do not currently have a ********************* designated as a ***** of ******** or Guardian for any of our clients within our system. Adhering to the privacy standards set by *****, I am unable to disclose any information unless the client has officially appointed ********************* as their ***** of ********, or a court has granted them the role of Guardian.
I understand the concerns raised, and I empathize with their frustrations. However, in order to proceed and address their inquiries, we require the client's name and appropriate legal authorization that grants us permission to engage in discussions and actions with ********************** This authorization would need to be the actual legal documents.
Please provide the necessary details at your earliest convenience to ensure a swift resolution to this matter. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in maintaining the privacy and security of our clients.
