Over 2 years ago, Nov 2021, I signed a contract for Bishop Rook to rebuild and deliver a Series III Land Rover, the ******** Project, for my wifes birthday in April 2022. To date Ive paid $80,000 and Im still waiting for them to complete the car and send me a final bill. They rarely respond to requests for information but when they do respond its a litany of excuses about missing parts and after seeing 2 nearly identical reports here at BBB, I now fear they are some sort of scam.Initial Complaint

On May 5, 2020 I wired ***********************/Bishop + Rook $45,300 as a down payment to complete a **************** 110 build. This amount represents 60% of the agreed upon project price as spelled out in our contract and project inspiration document.We have had hundreds of email correspondence over the past 4 years, the majority of which include excuses as to why the project is getting delayed and has yet to be completed and delivered.Throughout Covid and the time that has past, the resale value of these vehicles has drastically risen to easily surpass $200,000+. While I have the documented correspondence from **** (Owner) himself honoring the agreed up price of $75,500 despite the higher book values we are still waiting on the vehicle to be finished and delivered.I have a sneaky suspicion that **** is simply dragging the process out knowing 1) He will not make any money on the project 2) He has no motivation to actually finish the project and 3) the longer he takes the more likely a customer (me) is to ask for a refund to which point he can finish the vehicle and sell it for a windfall.This has been one of the most frustrating customer experiences as **** nor his team have ever been timely or comprehensive in their communication. I am now at the point where I will be sending him the remainder of the project cost and demand delivery of the project as is. I have lost all trust with this company and willing to accept the project as-is and send to another company to finish and verify quality assurance.I gave him a deadline for the end of this month to finish and deliver the vehicle. If I have not secured the vehicle after final payment and the deadline arrives, I will be taking legal action against Bishop + Rook for breach of contract to include compensatory damages.Its unfortunate, but others should be aware of the type of treatment their customers receive.Initial Complaint

Signed a contract for delivery of a used vehicle on March 7, 2023. Paid a deposit. Company will not answer phone calls or emails. Left ****************** No reply.
