09/05/2024 My 88 yr old Father, whom experiences senile dementia, snuck out of his Nursing Home and bought a vehicle from the stated business for $4,476.50. The Nursing Home contacted me 09/06/2024, and with copies of my Power of Attorney and application for Conservatorship/Guardianship, went and attempted to return the vehicle. The salesman ****, listed on paperwork as M-1-9, refused to even look at my legal documents meant to protect my vulnerable elderly Father from such predation, told me "take me to court". The ******* ************ are aware of the problem, and that Dad is unable/unsafe/uninsured to drive. A meeting is set for Monday 09/09/2024, at The Landmark of *******, for family and staff to discuss further recourse. It also will be reported to our Adult Protection Senior Social Worker, *****************************, at Anoka County ********************************************************* The vehicle is safely parked, we simply ask the business to please accept the return, I will even deliver it, and we can avoid lawsuits for Elder Abuse, Predation upon the vulnerable, etc.****** *********************** Power of Attorney for ****** ***********************

Dear ****************, my sincerest apologies for your experience. However, when you came to visit us, you stated on camera that we clearly did nothing wrong. Therefore your complaint is not mirroring your interactions with our leadership team. Caring for a person experiencing critical health conditions that cause memory loss and functions that are causing situations where someone is unable to make decisions is something I am familiar. I assure you that when central bargain lot met with this customer you are referring to there were no signs of dementia. In fact, there were serious intellectual conversations about specific car types, preferences, and needs that our customer was able to articulate. My mother-in-law suffers from dementia so I do understand the symptoms and our business is familiar with best practices of making sure we are helping encourage customers to make informed decisions. The customer you are referring to came into our lot with cash in hand, an intellectual property in which they were aware and able to choose which cars they wanted to test drive. Which may I add this customer test drove at least two vehicles before deciding which vehicle to purchase. There was no predation involved. In regards to us asking for you to provide proof in court. That was protection for all parties and Im happy you have initiated that process. I will state and have paperwork showing there are no restrictions on this customers drivers license. My mother-in-law who does have dementia has restrictions on her drivers license. This is something I would advise you to do in the future. As of today and during the time of our sale, I have no evidence that match your complaints in regards to predation or signs of a customer that we sold the car to having any cognitive issues. We are simply asking you to use your legal pathway to avoid our business being involved in a family feud. And any more slander will not be tolerated and be appointed to our legal representatives.

I am rejecting this response because:
The salesman came to my Father's Nursing Home, picked him up, and brought him to the bank. This afternoon, while I was with my Father in his apartment, the salesman called (harassment communication, 3rd Degree), and after I asked the salesman to not call again, and my Father had hung up his extension, the salesman said "don't worry ******, we're gonna f**k you up."

The matter has been reported to Sgt ******* at the ******* ****************** and to ******************************** Worker ***************************** in *************

If the business is unwilling to accept return of the vehicle, which would be the ethical thing to do, my family asks that all communication from the extremely offensive and threatening salesman (*********************, aka M-1-9) cease and desist.

With such accusations, I would hope you can prove it because yet again this is leading into your slander. You have a family feud as your father said youre just trying to live off of his money. Those were his words we did nothing wrong. Your feud is with the banker or whoever gave your father the money, you claim he has all these restrictions again please keep us out of your family feud. We are not involved in your family feud or just give your father his keys. He reached out Again looking for A locksmith Again, this is a personal matter between you and your father not us. I hope you have a good day.

I am rejecting this response because:

The matter has been referred to the ******* ****************** the Anoka County Sherriffs Department, The Anoka County Adult Protective Services Division, the Minnesota Adult Abuse Reporting Center.  The Nursing Home, The Landmark of ******* also is informed and has a vested interest in this matter.  As stated in my last missive, what my family and I now desire, is cessation of ALL communication with the business and its representatives and associates.
We also now desire no more communication with the Better Business Bureau, as further investigation of the matter indicates that it has moved far beyond your scope.
