I signed up for a Craftsy Gold membership at a special rate in Sept 23. I put a reminder on my calendar a week before the renewal date so I could decide if I wanted to renew. To my surprise, 10 days before the renewal date, Craftsy attempted to charge me $235.73 for renewal! Thankfully my CC fraud ***** *****, declined it. I called Craftsy customer service to verify it was them trying to send thru that charge, and she confirmed it was and told me their policy was to charge the renewal 10 days prior to the membership expiration date. I informed the customer service *** that I did NOT wish to renew and she did take the auto renewal flag off my acct. Ive read where others have received an e-mail stating their membership was expiring on such and such date and that it would be automatically renewed if not cancelled but I never received an e-mail ahead of them charging me $235.73 for renewal. Furthermore, I cant find anything that says that is their normal rate for the Gold membership. The whole thing seems a bit shady and preditory.

In researching your customer review, I was able to locate your Craftsy account showing that you signed up to be a Premium member on September 8, 2023 and then on the same day accepted the offer to upgraded to the Gold membership, directly from our website craftsy.com. We sent a pre-billing renewal notice to the email address you used in this review on July 30, 2024, reminding you that your membership would be renewed on August *******. The email also clearly provided the rate you would be charged for your upcoming term. We attempted payment, 10 days prior, to make sure that you did not lose access to the membership benefits while the card was authorized by our card processor. The payment was declined by the processor and the card could not be used for the renewal payment. When you contacted us by phone on August 29, 2024 to cancel your Craftsy membership, the representative you spoke with,immediately cancelled the automatic renewal on your account. Your account is cancelled,and no further attempts to your card will occur.

Wood Workers Guild of America is the ideal place for guidance for the beginner and advanced woodworker. The classes are exceptional and ****** is a GREAT teacher. He even brings in others to aid in his presentations. From the complex to more manageable parts of woodworking, the explanations are made clear and concise. Some of them I've watched several times to insure that I have a clear understanding before I start or add to a project. One of my favorite sites.Review from Dave D

I'm a fairly new customer for their site (wwgoa) and am thoroughly enjoying their content. Their content ranges from beginner to advanced/expert and I've read or watched enough content to make my subscription worthwhile - and I have months to go, still! Shortly after joining, I discovered the regular live Q&A and it was well worth my time to watch live to get some questions asked & answered.I really do enjoy the content provided for the cost and haven't found anything wrong or at issue.Review from Alan B

This is an awesome organization! I signed up less than a year ago and have learned more about woodworking in that time than since I started a few years back. The videos are absolutely awesome. I bought a set of DVDs to kickstart learning about how to use woodworking tools and techniques for designing projects and building them. I'm 100% satisfied.Review from Gary M

Great website. ****** and his associates are top notch teachers and woodworkers. I use the site extensively. Their ability to explain and demonstrate all the techniques and methods of the hand and power tools for building a wide assortment of wood projects is unparalleled. I have been a member of the woodworkers guild for about 10 years and have learned so much from ****** about so many things I hardily endorse this site as a teaching tool and recommend it to anyone wanting to learn about woodworking
