On April 18th, 2021, Mr. ********************** sent me an email with a bid to buy and install a ladder for my egress basement window well and a set of two closet doors for my bedroom closet. The amount came to $705.00. The bid requested that I pay $500 down upon acceptance of the estimate. I agreed and wrote him a check ( check # ****) for $500. Mr. ********************** picked up the check at my house on April 20, 2021. This was cashed and appeared on my next bank statement. On April 26, 2021, Mr ********************** sent me an email and said his mother was ill in ********* and he had to leave town. The next time, I heard from him was an email on June 1, 2021 saying he hoped to be back in town the following week. After emails, phone calls and visits to his house, I did not hear from him again until I went to his house on January 14, 2022. I asked him where the doors and ladder were and he said he had them at his shop in ********, **. He said he would come to install them on January 18, 2022. He did not show up on the 18th, but sent me an email on January, 19, 2022 saying he would be there on either 21st or 22nd of January, ************************************ with a firm time. He never showed up or called either day. I have not heard from him since January 19, **************************************** the closet doors.Business response

I am rejecting this response because:
I received a check from Mr.********************** on April 11, 2022 for the amount of $500, however the check was NOT signed. I took it to my bank and they would not cash it without Mr ********************** signature. If Mr ********************** would send me another check with his signature and I am able to cash it, I will be satisfied with the results of this situation.*************************

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. The check cleared yesterday.
