On 6/8/22, *** from Cheetah Roofing verbally agreed to work on structural, roof and interior damage to my property due to storm damage on 5/12/22. On 7/27/22 interior demolition was started and incomplete by his sub-contractor *********. I was told that the roof would be replaced following the interior demo. *** began to ignore my telephone calls and texts, but when he would respond, he would say that "we are still working with the insurance company". The insurance company did make final payment to me 10/11/22. On 9/12/22, *** had requested photos of the shingles so he could try match with the current color. Numerous texts/calls asking what the hold up was, *** would say that he's having difficulties finding a color that's close. On 10/8/22, *** and I met to make a payment for the interior demo of $19,708.85 and $9,500.00 for roof replacement. I asked *** for a receipt and he stated that he would email a receipt and he would order the shingles and have them delivered, but was still having problems with colors. Frustrated with the length of time this was taking I told him to put any color on, because I needed to get this done before the snow flies. On 10/17/22, I called Puroclean to find out what the hold up was with this project and was told that they quit this project because *** was taking to long. *** did respond to my text that evening. We set up an appt. for 10/20/22 to pick out a color of shingle. *** said that he would order that day, ******** would be delivered by 10/27/22, work would begin 10/28/22 and the roof would be completed on 10/2922. Today is 10/29/22 and no shingles have been delivered, no work completed, calls/texts ignored and no receipt received. I am now in search of other contractors to complete the project that was started, finish the interior demo that wasn't complete, replace missing/broken items and pay for a pod for all household storage till interior reconstruction is complete.Business response

**** and I are now on the same page with the timeline of the interior work on the project, and the roof was put on as agreed on the weekend that she submitted the complaint as promised. The insurance company spent several months preparing the mitigation and reconstruction scope of repairs and estimates. Their hesitancy to approve all of the necessary items to properly reconstruct her home caused delays from the start. All of us were involved weekly including **** and **** of Puro Clean. We installed the roof for the price that the insurance company approved and we will be submitting a supplement to them for all of the rafter repairs that were not on the original scope on the claim. We had already came to an agreement to still help her get all of the interior work completed and have already scheduled the sub contractors for this project. She is going to have some additional items upgraded or modified in her home and we have been in contact with her about those items which are outside the scope of the original insurance claim. **** was going to source and meet with an electrician last week and if she needs any other help from us to find an electrician or anyone else she knows that we will help her get it done. Our intentions are and have always been to assist in putting her home back together the proper way.

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that I would still like to receive a statement with a receipt of payments made. I dont want any charges to come ** in the future of something not agreed upon. Also havent heard anything about the broken and missing items. As far as the roof, it was completed to my satisfaction a day later than anticipated.
