They give me an initial bid of $4920. On August 10th, they gave me a bid for $7000. They completed the job and I paid them the $7300. I have been trying to get information for my insurance company. I need an itemized bill to me and ********. The repaired area is still leaking. I want this to be fixed correctly. The insurance company felt I was overcharged.Business response

Dispute Resolution Dept,This correspondence is in regard to the repair performed at the ******* residence, ** ***** **** ******* *** ********** ** ******The customer at the property called our company because of leaking in the summer of 2021. Customer's intention was to have the roof replaced through their insurance company. St. Louis Residential Roofing met with the homeowner's insurance company on two occasions in an effort to get the entire roof replaced. St. Louis Residential Roofing stated that a full replacement was the best course of action to remedy the situation. The roof is aged beyond 20 years and is over 7,000 square feet. It is often difficult to determine exact causes of a leak in a roof of this size. A localized repair would be a troubleshooting effort. We suggested and provided the customer with a bid to replace the roof, to best resolve the issue. The insurance company did not agree to replace the entirety of the roof and suggested a repair: replace 267 square feet of shingles, 25.49 linear feet of ridge cap and 23 vents. roughly 3% of the entire roof. The customer declined the suggested bid for full roof replacement presented by St. Louis Residential Roofing.Customer contracted with St. Louis Residential Roofing to do limited repairs suggested by the insurance company.St. Louis Residential Roofing completed those repairs as contracted.We contacted the homeowner on 1/11/22 and offered to make a further repair, unrelated to the performed work, in an act of goodwill to resolve the leak issue.*** ********* *** ***** *********** ******* ************Customer response
