11/13/2021 I paid so far such as down payment and car payments of 2,200.00 I purchased a car from here only had the car for a month and it basically caught fire and the gas petal was to the floor with me and kids in the car. The next day I got it towed to the City Wide Motors. I talked to someone they started to say I drove over 5,000 miles in a month and barely oil in the car which most of the oil had leaked out due to it breaking down. As well the mileage had not be checked so it was over the mileage they had said was on the car which was a lie. It was impossible for me to drive over 5,000 miles in a month because they have a out line on how far you can travel. When they finally fixed the car they wanted me to pay the car payment for the time I didn't have the car understandable but then wanted me to pay for the tow fee for them sending it to the guy ***** on ****** to fix the car then a deductible because they said it was the engine of $200 as well for a started and mileage fee. It was never my fault for a car to break down with in a month and then try to make me pay for it they were nice but rude at the same time. I thought about paying there money but then I felt like it was pointless and they were getting over. As well they even wanted me to send in pictures of the mileage every week. Not to mention the lady Shannon there text me and said I thought you had the money aside while the car was in the shop. Which was none of her concern. They wanted me to pay almost 2,000 for a car I just had for a month. Then I know as well what was in my car I had things missing like my $500 coat that my grandma bought me then stole my iPhone charger as well as some $200 air max shoes. I do not recommend this place to anyone they are money hungry and gets over on a lot of people.Business response

Response taken over phone by BBB staff:
The car was sold as is but with a limited warranty. The limited warranty says she can't drive over 2,000 miles a month and she drove around 5,000. That would void the warranty but we made an exception and we did fix the engine. She was responsible for paying the deductible which was around $200 and for paying the fee for going over the monthly mileage, plus her payments. That is a part of the contract. She did not keep up with her payments so when she picked it up she had a bunch of fees.
Regarding the items in her vehicle, everything gets locked up. She didn't want the vehicle anymore after she saw the bill. She cleaned out her items herself and never mentioned anything about missing items.
She did return the car.
