6/6/22 took 2008 Chevy equinox to get repairs for over heating was told it was a water pump and thermostat we paid $279 for repair was told the problem was fixed picked the car up and before making it 5 miles car overheated. Took car back the shop kept for 2 more days and then on 6/9 was told they put in stop leak and it was fixed. Went and picked up again and within 2 miles it over heated again. Called ***** who refused to refund or fix correctly. ***** yelled at me and said “god **** it it’s not my problem you bought a piece of **** car” ***** said that all Chevy equinox’s are “pieces of ****” and that I should have purchased a better model car. ***** said the motor is probably gone and “ain’t even worth the time to look at” I reminded him that his shop on 2 occasions told me it was repaired and it wasn’t and ***** said that was not his problem and hung up on me.Business response

This consumer had not topped off any of the fluids in her car. The engine was burned out. We don't know that until we do some work on the car which we did. That work included putting on a new water pump, fixing the leak, using a sealer to try to stop the leak. She had driven the car too long, too far without fluids and burned out the engine.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: the car guys told us on 2 different occasions that the car was repaired and did not say anything about any other issues.. NEVER were we told that the motor could be bad until the final conversation when ***** cursed me out.. we were told that the issue was a water pump and thermostats and once replaced that the car was repaired and ready to be picked up. When we returned the car we again were not told anything about a possibility of a bad motor we were told that it could be air and that stop leak was used to make sure everything sealed correctly.
I also feel like an apology for *****’s unacceptable behavior is still owed. No business owner should speak to their customers that way when I was never disrespectful to him.
