We purchased a new home from Thomasville in the fall of 2020. Before closing, we presented the builder with a list of items that needed to be addressed. With the purchase of the house, we also had a 1 year homeowner's warranty with the builder. These items were sent to them more than once. They had backed into the garage with one of their trucks and dented the trim. Trim arrived at our house, and no one ever came to fix it. (Still untouched to this date, 7/19/22) The house had been built up on dirt they took from the back yard and we had cracks around a few doors where the foundation was settling. When they finally came to "fix" them, they put a piece of mud tape over it, primed it and left. No texture added back to the area. Just the other day, I was finally tired of looking at it and painted over it. The door to the deck was hung crooked, leaving a large gap. Supposedly adjusted, but looks the same. The seal on that same door underneath has come off. The backdoor to the garage wasn't hung correctly and it leaks water into the garage every time it rains. An electrical switch wasn't finished in the kitchen. There were hot wires behind the wall, from what we understand, it was over $150 that they didn't finish it. The sheetrock people didn't want to wait for the electricians to finish. So basically our lives were in danger over $150. (This was corrected.) There's a beam under the house around the deck area that isn't held in place with anything. Upon purchase, they never cleaned the house. Took weeks to get all of the construction dust off of the floors. Paint splatters on all of the floors. Somewhat attempted to fix. Trim wasn't painted (they did come finish that.) House number hung crooked. An opening above the front porch at the eve was left open, so we've had birds nesting there. Caulking around all three tubs needed filled, grout around the tub in the Master wasn't sealed and needs redone. Check your homes carefully before purchase!
