We entered a contract 09/11/22 with ***** ******* to purchase a home contingent on our home selling. When we entered the contract we gave Chicago Title a $1500 check for escrow and were told it would be refunded if our home at ** ********* didn't sell. Our home didn't sell, the contract expired and the home we were trying to purchase was sold to someone else. We have been working with ***** ***** at ***** ******* out of **** ******* *** ** ******** *** **** ******** ** ***** ************ trying to get our money back. She has been handling all the transactions since the contract signing. She told us she has spoken to ****** ******** *** ** ***** *** ***** *** ***** ******* ** ***** ************ with the title company but no luck. I have attached the contracts and the check copy. I wasn't sure if I needed to file against ***** ******* or the title company so I am starting with the company that has my money. I also plan to file a complaint with the department of insurance since they are a title insurance company and the MO Attorney general office. If I need to provide any additional info please let me know. We would just like to get our money back. Thank you for any help.
