About June 2021 I hired Stan Morris Construction to build me a home for me and my disabled husband after we ************* in a house fire. We paid for the entire construction in full and entered in a contract with the company. Through the entire build there has been multiple issues of him not honoring the contract while building our home. He was very hard to communicate with a would just do as he pleases when it came to the construction also has electrical and plumbing issues and would not show up a lot an having to repeat the same job multiple times. As of right now the job is not complete I went to his office yesterday to talk with him about the situation he has put me and my disabled husband in which is a disabled ******* veteran on hospice. And his response was that his company is broke. And that he filed it on his insurance do to the damage done by his contractors we contacted the insurance company of **** Morris and they let us know the clam was denied on July 26 2023 and **** Morris was telling us insurance was handling it even after the time it was denied. And once we asked him about why he has been lying to me and my husband he told me that he just cannot do work for us any more an would not come finish the job. So this has been on going for over two years we have all pictures videos and text messages trying to get him to finish the project we have never fired him or told him not to come back we are just wanting the project finished.Initial Complaint

This company ripped me off for $10,300.00. He was supposed to put a roof over my patio. All he did was nail up a few boards at only 8 ft high. He knew I wanted to hang a ceiling fan out there, it will hit my kids it the head. Then, when it rained, it rain out of my fan. A different company said it wasn't even up to code.Business response

Ms. ********* also filed a dispute with her credit card company and our quickbook system. Quickbooks removed the funds from our account until they and the credit card company could settle the dispute. Attached are the messages that Ms. ********* and ***** ******, one of our workers had between them about the back porch/awning that Ms. ********* was wanting. And it seems from the conversation Ms. ********* was very indecisive about what she wanted on several different occasions. I know our gentleman had to buy material 2 additional times, after the initial purchase, due to Ms. ********* changing her mind on how she wanted it done. Thank you for your assistance in advance.

I am rejecting this response because: I suggest you read the **** ****** website to read the only review he has. She had the same problem I had with him not showing up. He has other lawsuits too. He gave me a time frame of before Thanksgiving or I did not want to do it. I took him at his word. I did not change my mind --I wanted what **** ****** had discussed with me before ever starting- about how to attach to the roof line with the correct pitch. He thought I would settle for the 7 foot overhang. When I refused he started all this other stuff about vaulted ceiling He was trying to scam me for more money. It all sounded really good but he finally at end of text quoted me another $4500 I have all his texts if you would like for me to send to you. Told him it did not have to be vaulted that I wanted it as tall as my carport ceiling so I could have a ceiling fan the original plan. I can also send the report from the company who came in and tore what he had done down. Not up to code and unsafe. The new company tried to use the wood he had bought only one time did he order. You can call Gazaway Paragould, Ark as I did. They told me he would not come in and pay for the wood which was $1200 the reason for the delay. I had no way of returning it and ****** had the receipt Told me he had told Blake ****** he was not taking care of his customers that he needed to do better. We were working with the time of year and bad weather would be starting. I had holes in my roof. I have pictures if you need those with dates at the top. The company that finished the patio over hang said that was the worst job he had ever seen. Totally unprofessional./ Thank you. ******* *********
