This is to shed light on this company's bill collection practices [honest or dishonest] from a customer's insurance carrier & the customer themselves . This complaint has also been filed with the Mo. attorney general's office to look into if this is an ongoing practice of fraud . On 6-29- 22 I purchased a walking boot from this business ,paying $38.50 and ****** ****** **** [AARP Advance plan] being billed for the balance due . On 1-11-23 [61/2 months later] I received a billing from Healthcare Equipment & Supply , Los Angeles ,CA. for $51.35 . Calling their billing dept. in CA. to question / challenge this , I was put on hold , then cut off on their end . I called a second time , putting the same questions to another representative . After a delay , I was informed that," The delayed billing was due to ****** ****** **** denying their claim TWICE & this is what I owed . A reasonable amount , that most people would not challenge, but an unjustifiable billing . Taking Missourians wealth & sending it to CA. I looked on my ****** ****** **** claim history page to find that Healthcare Equipment &Supply [CA.] had billed ****** ****** **** on 9-15-22 for $320.87 [an $80 boot on ******] with ****** ****** **** paying out allowed amount of $128.34 .Healthcare Equipment is a contracted provider for ****** ****** **** . I contacted ****** ****** **** on this , they put me on hold while they contacted Healthcare Equipment & Supply , then I was connected to a representative of Healthcare Equipment & Supply Co. that my part of the bill was &25.67 , of which I had already paid in $38.50 61/2 months earlier . So they were going to refund me approx.$12 and change . This company not only tried to take from me , but they damage the reputation of honest companies they deal with by stating their policy holders legitimate paid for coverage has been denied and their policy holders are responsible for their billing claims. This med. supply co. willing lied to me & unjustly dealt with me.
