I am over the road truck driver. Their monitoring company called me. They told me I had a general alarm and I had to give them the password. There wasn't anything going on from what I could see on the cameras. I wasn't here, because I was working. They kept calling me, right after I had talked to them. After this, I told them to disregard any general alarms. They were also recording the calls. They sent the police which I did not authorize. Then I got bills for the police coming out 4 -5 times. I told them not to send the police unless I gave approval. I told them to put this in the files. They charged me $625.00. I have had this service for decades. i spoke with the owner's daughter and she said to send the bills to them. I tried calling back so I could get her fax number and there was no answer. I own other properties and they haven't fixed the alarms there for over a year and I have been paying for that. That needs to be fixed too.Business response

To Whom it may concern,
After reading the letter that was submitted to you by the customer, we have found several false statements that were given. First, we will not be refunding anything to this customer due to his alarm system has been installed since 1998 so putting a transaction date of February 09, 2024, is inaccurate. Second, ****************** was called ONLY one time on 02/09/2024 and he did not answer the phone it went to voice mail which this is all logged and recorded with our receivers, so we do have proof. Third, ****************** called our office on February 13th and spoke with me about paying his bill and also mentioned the police were sent out to his home and he was worried he was going to get false alarm fees. I told him if he received a bill regarding this incident to send them to me and we would take care of the cost because he has been a customer for so long and in which he responded ok sounds good. I now receive a letter from you and the Missouri Attorney General that he filed a complaint and wants a refund. What would we be refunding there was no loss to the customer and the alarm system is over twenty years old. Our monitoring station handled the call like they were trained on handling signals as we receive them, we first try to make contact with the customer and when we cannot reach them, we dispatch and on February 9th ************** did not answer, and we were sent to voicemail if you need anything else, please let me know.
Sincerely,
***************************

****** has told me I need to find another company and I do not understand why. I have been a customer since 1991 and have always paid my bills. I specifically asked ****** to disregard the alarm and not to call the police and I still ended up with $650 in false alarm charges.
