Visited Bass Pro in *******, ******* on 04NOV24. I was advised that when purchasing a firearm magazine that I was required to show ID to prove I was an ******* resident, which I am. I asked why they needed my ID and asked if it was state law. I was told verbatim, "Well, We get a lot of Illinois residents and they cant have over 15 round magazines so thats why we need to see ID". Magazines are not regulated interstate commerce. There is no age restrictions for purchasing magazines. We are in ******* where there are no requirements to purchase this whatsoever. Make it make sense. As an Indiana resident of adult age this is ridiculous. Its not the stores job to police state residents to make sure they're not from ********.Bass Pro Shops Response

I placed a on line order but never got the order when I called them they said they would refund my money in 7 to 10 days. It did not take them that long to get my money so why does it take that long to get it back? I may not order from them again.Review from Leonard B

There exchange policy is theft. Product fel apart and would not exchange for one that did not fall apart. They say if it's a cabela's brand they will exchange for some thing but they don't. Will not buy another item from them. Never again.Bass Pro Shops Response

I was denied the purchase of a handgun back in April 2024 due to mistakenly answering question #A on the background check form. I have purchased handguns from ******* before with no issues. I contacted their corporate office to appeal their decision and was told there is no appeal process and I would be banned from ever buying a handgun from *******. I was able to purchase the same handgun at another with no problem. I have been a loyal customer and would like to have the ban lifted. I feel the decision is unfair.Bass Pro Shops Response

************* rips off its gift card holders. If you do not use their gift cards within 2 years, they nullify it. You can get it re-instated, with some effort, email them for the phone number, I can't post it here, but for sure they are making money by telling people that their cards have no value. That's really low-life for a sportsman store! Don't buy Bass Pro gift cards.Bass Pro Shops Response

Bait and Switch! On the Cabela's website, (same as Bass Pro Shop), they are advertising ******** Target 9mm Luger 115 Grain Handgun Ammo. The box pictured is clearly 100 rounds, the price next to the picture is $13.99 - $139.99. When you add this to the shopping cart it becomes a box of 50 rounds for the same price. That is double what is advertised! Contacted customer service, basically was told stuff happens, have a nice day. This company has gone into the toilet since the merger with ********.Bass Pro Shops Response

Cabelas how could you allow this to happen to your customers! Why would you allow a scamming company like ********* VACATIONS in your store to pray and scam your casual shoppers! Unfortunately, I will no longer be shopping at your store because if it wasnt for your partnership with *********, I wouldnt have been scammed into purchasing this nightmare of a Timeshare! This all started when a Bluegreen *** holding a clipboard approached me and offered $200 in vouchers if I attended a meeting at a location of my choice. It sounded harmless so I accepted the offer. My ******** decided to attend a presentation in *************. Long story short, we declined several offers, and each time they came back with another offer and applied more and more pressure. We even sensed the managers frustration with us after declining all their offers. We asked them to give us time to think it over, but they said that the offers were only good for that day and would never be available again. As a last ditch attempt they managed to offer a Sampler Package which was a couple days at a **************** for $250. At this point, we agreed to pay $250 so we could just leave, but looking back, this was just to get us to attend another meeting to continue where they left off. Fast forward to when we took advantage of the $250 trial of the Bluegreen experience. They convinced us to sign up for a ****************** credit card by telling us this would pay us back enough rewards to pay for our annual maintenance fees, which ended up being a lie. They also gave us the impression of us being able to book anywhere at any time, but in reality, we have been unable to book vacations at our desired locations. We were misled, lied to, and they mis***resented the product they sold us. We were scammed into purchasing this timeshare and if it werent for Cabelas opening their doors to Bluegreen, we wouldnt be in the situation we are in today!??
