I visited the Vapor World location to purchase a vape pen. I worked with a sales associate to locate a pen for my needs. I found a vape pen that I liked but did not have my cartridge with me to see if it was compatible. The associate informed me that if my cartridge did not fit the vape pen, I could return it, so I purchased the vape pen. My cartridge did not fit the vape pen, so I took it back the next morning for a refund or exchange. A sales associate told me he could not refund or exchange the vape pen, only the manager could and that he was not there. The next day I called and asked if the manager was at the business before driving there for a refund or exchange. I was informed that the manager had called in sick that morning and most likely had COVID. I left my name and phone number for the manager to call me when he returned after his illness. I had not heard from the manager by the end of the next week, so I called, and the manager answered. I explained the situation and he said he was in possession of the note to call me but did not call. He informed me that Vapor World does not take returns or exchanges and that this was stated on my sales receipt. I informed the manager that the employee did not notify me of the company policy and had erroneously communicated to me that I could return or exchange the vape pen. The manager said the employee was new and needs to be “retrained”. He also stated that the length of time since my initial purchase was too long even though I had made every effort to do it expediently and had given him time to recover from his illness before attempting to contact him again. The manager then informed me he would talk to the corporate office and get back to me. I have not received a call or other communication from the manger in two weeks. I would not have purchased the vape pen had I been informed about the return policy and given false information by the sales associate.
