I agreed to purchase a *********** from this business. She supposed to be a 10 year old in perfect health. What he brought to me at dusk, a horse the vet says is at least 19 years old, all skin and bones, she is starving, and she is very ill. When she drinks or eats the water or grain comes back through her nose. She cannot swallow. She looks like the horse in the pictures I saw, but this is not the "picture of health, 10 year old I was supposed to get.Business response

I had the horse checked out with a veterinarian and they stated it was 10 years old. I delivered the horse without her seeing it prior. She signed a bill of sale form stating she bought it "as is" and there are no returns. I can provide the document she signed. It is state law to give it a ******* test by a veterinarian.Business response

Enclosed are documents we sent the ******** ******* in reference to **** ******** who also contacted your agency. We spoke with a man named ***** yesterday from your office and explained the situation. The ID number id ******** for the complaint.
I will also fax a copy of this to your office, please see that ***** gets a copy of this information.
Letter to ******** *******:
This letter is regarding Complaint No. ***************** Ms. **** * ********
Ms. ******** contacted us by text messages and phone stating she wanted to purchase our horse, *****. Ms. ******** bought this horse off a video and a picture she never came to our house just said she wanted it and we delivered it. The ad states she is around 10 years old (see enclosed). The ******* we gave her reflects this by a licensed veterinarian. We do not believe this horse is 18 or 19 years old as we gave her reflects this by a licensed veterinarian. We do not believe this horse is 18 or 19 years old as stated on the note written on the side of the vet bill. This mare has also been on full feed hay and grain in front of her 24 hours a day with water and was eating with no problems when we delivered her.
Both parties signed a bill of sale when delivered, she saw the horse and signed a "all sales final. Sold "as is," no warranties or representations are made and no refunds Bill of Sale. It also clearly states she examined this horse to satisfaction upon purchase (see enclosed bill of sale that goes into more details about the purchase).
All purchases are welcome to do a pre-purchase exam, she insisted to have this horse delivered ASAP and was aware when we would be there. If the horse was really this sick as she says, why would she purchase it and sign the bill of sale? Not that it matters but the mule she gave us to help pay shipping cost was sick when we got it home and had to be treated.
The note on the side of the vet bill states 18 or 19 then she states in her statement 20 years old. When horses reach a certain age no one can verify an exact date as stated by two different vets. We are not liable for anything based on the bill of sale but offered to pay the first vet bill, she refused that and went into threats. If she had handled things differently instead of all the threats, trying to ruin our reputation, we would have worked with her. We now feel that we do not owe her anything.
