BEWARE! Do NOT hire. They take your money and make promises but you don’t get what you pay for. I have multiple complaints and multiple people that used Reed’s that have nothing but complaints. I had to hire a separate contractor to pour my concrete, I also have no roll up doors. My brothers building (started same time as mine) should be torn down and refunded. The awning is a safety hazard. I have plenty of pictures of what kind of work they do and what your money will get you. You’ve been warnedReed's Metals Inc. Response

Thank you Mr. **** for your feedback and the opportunity to work with you to resolve your concerns. The building in question was delivered March 2022 with erection scheduled for April 2022. At your request, erection was postponed until June 2022. Following erection, the concrete was postponed, again, at your request. You notified us July 10th of your desire to reschedule the concrete. It was rescheduled for August 8th. You made a decision to move forward with a different concrete contractor as you wanted it sooner. We are sorry the short notice on rescheduling did not allow for completion on the new timeline. We have certainly tried to be as flexible as possible with the scheduling to meet your needs throughout this entire process. We are working diligently to provide the custom black doors you have requested. We have been notified by four different roll-up door manufacturers that they no longer provide black doors. To accommodate your request, we have a company painting the doors to your specifications. We hope and trust this will meet with your satisfaction. As per our most recent conversations, we are happy to know you are satisfied with the materials, construction and overall quality of the building. Once the doors are painted and installed, we trust you will enjoy the results for years to come.Review from Ronnie B

I signed a contract with Reed's Metal on May 4, 2021 and was told the wait time to start on the building would be 16 weeks. Materials were delivered on October 13, 2021 and a crew showed up around the second week of January 2022. The crew that Reed's sent out didn't seem to be very well versed on building pole barns. This was evidenced by shoddy installation of windows and doors on my building. The doors and windows were not framed right and not installed properly. Walk in door doesn't stay closed not leveled or square, windows not level and leak like sieve. They quit working in march with 3/4 of the roof completed and never showed up again. Reed's sent out a crew to finish up the roof and it was then that I noticed something was off with the gable extension. It is approximately 2" from being square with the main building which throws the roof off. Another crew was sent out and they tried to fix one of the windows but didn't do a good job framing it up but did stop the leak. The other window and back roll up door still leak. The window leaks like a sieve. I met with Reed's and they sent out another crew to look at what needs to be done. Some materials were ordered and delivered but they are damaged. the crew showed up and were unable to work due to damaged materials and lacking materials, trim, screws etc. I haven't heard from Reed's metal and finally called today June 21, 2022 and spoke with my salesman and he asked if I had heard from anyone. I replied no. He said he would try to get me some answers and get back to me. To make a long story short we are in hurricane season, they have been working on my building for almost 6 months and not completed, Most buildings of this type are built in 7-10 days. There was one started down the road from me the Monday after Easter and it was completed in less than 10 days. My substandard building has been under construction for almost 6 months with no end in sightReview from Kevin S

Reed's delivered horrible service on almost every level. The salesman, ***** ***, said the non-refundable deposit would lock in the price. After I signed & paid they raised the price a debilitating 18%. I complained bitterly--I set my budget based on Mr. ***'s deception. I had a lawyer look at the paperwork--sure enough, buried in the lawyerspeak was the ability to raise the price willy-nilly. To Reed's credit, they dropped the price a small amount after my complaints: a few of their employees try to help. Mr. *** became unreachable &/or terse after he got my deposit. My contractor & the foreman of the crew assembling the building both lamented that I had ordered the barn from Reed's, saying I would have trouble, that there would be missing parts. Prophetically the kit was missing main purlins, bolts, window frames, cupulas... to add injury, none of the locks worked. Most of the missing parts were eventually delivered but long after the construction crew had to level for another job, leaving us with an unfinished barn. We didn't waste our time complaining about the sub-standard locks & purchased working locks ourselves. The cupulas are still MIA. Note that I ordered this barn in September of 2020, 16 months ago; I'm still waiting on cupulas. I've asked Voicemail--usually the only entity I can reach at Reed's--if I can get a refund so I can order the cupulas elsewhere. My request was ignored. The experience has started to leave me with severe anxiety & heart palpitations. After phone-bombing them today I was told the cupulas were ordered on January 7th--2 weeks ago--& I would get an ETA when they had it. After I ordered my kit a friend told me they had ordered a barn from Reed's and had to get a lawyer involved in order to get it delivered. If you want to do business with a company that feels like it got teleported into America from some lawless, third-world country then give Reed's a call. If you want honest American customer service go elsewhere.Reed's Metals Inc. Response

Customer ordered the building in September of 2020. ***** ***, the sales representative, sent customer permit drawings for approval on October 16th, 2020. The building had to be put on permit hold until we've heard back from the customer. In April of 2021, the customer emailed ***** saying she has her permit and she's ready to put the building into production. (This was approximately 6 months after she received permit drawings.) Due to the elapsed time and multiple steel price increases, we had to reprice the building and send the customer a change order. The steel industry was experiencing unprecedented material increases during this time. Customer was not happy about the price increase but signed the change order on May 3rd, 2021. In the change order it states that customer will receive the building in 14 weeks, after signing the Change Order. Building was placed into production to be completed by July 26th, 2021. The building was delivered on July 26th. There was an insulation delivery set for July 26th, but the insulation supplier stated that their notes say deliver August 18th. After speaking with the insulation provider, they agreed to deliver the insulation by August 12th, 2021. On November 11th, 2021, the customer reached out saying she was missing some parts for her building. We replaced the missing parts without question. Also, at that time the customer stated they didn't receive the Cupolas that they ordered for their building. After speaking with our purchaser, it didn't show where the Cupolas had been ordered. The cupulas were ordered, and they were delivered on January 27th, 2022.
