On March 24th my sons company truck broke down on the borders of *********** and ******* **, the driver at the time found a mobile diesel mechanic to come and tow the truck to his shop where he would assess the work needed. FJDS Diesel Service, my son payed $383 for the tow that was a few miles from where the truck broke down, and after further assessment the mechanic by the name of **** said it needed an air compressor that would cost $4000 dollars so my son immediately started looking and found the part on Amazon for $700 dollars and the part would be in the following Tuesday March 29, 2022. So the agreed upon rate was $500 to start and and $500 to finish that's it.. Well this was March 24th this was discussed with the driver and mechanic and my son was filled in and cashapp the vendor $500 . Unfortunately for me the next night my son is as violently gunned down on the highway in ********** ** we're we reside. On March 31st I get a message from Amazon saying they attempted to deliver a part a couple times and was unsuccessful, so this sent me to I inquiring what was going on, I new the truck had broke down but was unclear on everything else- so I finally speak to the driver that gets me in touch with **** the owner of this mobile business- and from that moment- while trying to plan my sons funeral- the owner Made my life a h*** and was unwilling to help me- I reached out to the postal service because the first excuse the owner said was that no part had come- but the postal service said the place looked abandoned and that they could not leave the part so that went back n forth for a few days and now the mechanic was saying I would have to pay $100 per week for storage fee , even with proof that the attempt to deliver the part was unsuccessful because the owner was never there to receive it, so he finally agreed to go pick up the part from the postal service, but says the part was in correct so by now we're in week 3 and he puts a lean on the truck.

      *****************

      Dispute Resolution Coordinator

      BBB of the Mid-South

      RE: Case #******** - ***********************

      Dear *****************:

**** ************************ Diesel Service is receipt of your letter advising of the above referenced complaint. Your letter has been forwarded to me for review and response.

We do recall the roadside service call that took place March 24th with ****************** son company. Mr. ************************ did inform the owner that the air compressor had failed and the cost of the part from the dealership was over $4000.00. The owner stated he found the part himself, and it would be at the repair shop in two days. Mr. ************************ removed the old compressor from the truck, awaiting the arrival of the new compressor. A week went by and Mr. ************************ never received the part.

************** contacted Mr. ************************ with the terrible news of what happened to her son. Mr. ************************ expressed his deepest condolences to her for her loss. This was an unfortunate situation for her as she was not aware of the business arrangement that took place prior to the deceased. Mr. ************************ explained the arrangement to her and she became upset and argumentative. Mr. ************************ understood that ************** was grieving at the time and was unable to respectfully discuss the business arrangement. Therefore, she had a relative to contact Mr. ************************ by the name of Will and he also began to address the issue in a hostile manner. After Mr. ************************ explained the repair information to Will, he became the point of contact to handle the issue.

Another week goes by and Mr. ************************ still had not received the part. The owner's truck was sitting directly in front of the garage door so it was prohibiting Mr. ************************ from bringing any further trucks in for repair. Mr. ************************ informed Will that he would have to get the truck towed away as he was losing business and the repair shop complex does not have a lot of parking spaces for idle trucks. Will agreed to do so twice but he never showed up. Mr. ************************ informed Will as well that there would be a $100 storage fee due for every week that the truck remained on the lot.

Will informed Mr. ************************ that attempts had been made to deliver the part but they were unsuccessful. Mr. ************************ informed Will that the diesel repair shop is located in a maintenance complex with several other diesel repair shops. There is a sign on the building and the door. We have not had any issues with any parts being delivered in the complex. Mr. ************************ did agree to ************* up, but once received it was the incorrect part.

Upon week three Mr. ************************ was forced to file for a mechanic lien on the truck after no response from anyone. Mr. ************************ informed Will that as long as the outstanding fees and filing fee for the lien were paid when the truck was picked up then everything would be cleared. The truck was picked up at end of week three and the fees were paid and the lien was lifted. We wish them well and success in the Trucking business.

      Sincerely,

      ******* ************************
