I purchased a vehicle from the car lot in March of 2023. They never produced a title and refuse to now. I cannot renew the tag for the vehicle I am still paying for. It's a new excuse or just them deciding to hang up on me everyday.Business response

I made contact with ************* on 4/4/2024. This was my first contact with her. We were having issues with the *** sites and could not access the site. I then made contact with her on April 8th through personal cell phone and got pictures of car and information plate showing the vin. There was a title issue from Tennessee ***. She explained to me she was out of pocket for gas to ****** MS. I got her cash app and sent her personally 40 to take care of her gas. I also emailed her a letter stating what the issue was with title and if question to call me on Action Auto LLC letterhead. I explained to her that the ******* of *** and them stating that they still have active for someone else, and I tried to explain to her that it is taking me a lot in writing stuff to work with both *** to get straightened out. I last text her that we had not received any paperwork on title from TN dmv. And that was on April 16, 2024. She has responded in text every time. The gentlemen that we were taking care of title quit and is not answering the phone so we can find out where the mistake was made.Initial Complaint

Action Auto keeps turning my vehicle off before my payment due date. I was on my way out the door to work today and my car is turned off. My car note isn't even due today. It's due tomorrow and technically isn't late until Saturday. This is the third time they've turned my car off with notifying me or actually waiting until my car note is due. Seems like they're trying to bully me into paying early. Their carelessness has caused me to be late for work again. This is the third time I've had to be late because of Action Auto carelessly turning my car off ahead of the due date and not giving me any prior notifications or anything. Action Auto nows exactly when my car note is due because they text and call all day Thursday to "remind" me. They even texted me this morning and said "See you tomorrow" so they knew my car note was not late. Again my car note isn't even due until tomorrow 12/22. Im loosing valuable time at work which is causing me to lose money. That's unnecessary and could be avoided if Action Auto practiced better customer service and didn't behave like *********. I want to be reimbursed for the time I missed at work due to Action Auto's negligence and horrible customer service where they just turn my car off for no reason.Initial Complaint

On 11/15/21 i bought a vehicle from action auto. Was told several times i had nothing to worry about if something happens the warranty is great on the vehicle was also told several times all vehicles go through a rigorous inspection and maintenance process. Before i got home that niggt i started having troubles the check engine light came on followed by the wrench light. On 11/16/21 i took it to a friends shop where he hooked it to the computer. It showed where codes have been stored in the ecm. So if action auto did there inspection all they did was clear the codes. And the lights would come back on eventually. 11/17 was supposed to get my truck detailed was td the guy never showed up and did not know when they could get it done but set me up with a mechanic to fix my vehicle. The day it was scheduled for the shop the throttle hung it hit a ditch and was stuck they where going to send a tow truck after it on the second day i call to see where it was only to be told how do we know you didn't hit the gas instead of brakes. And he hung up on me i got a call later saying tow truck was on his way after 3timez of being in tbe shop and more lies still not fixed 70 plus days without my vehicle i was told it was at the ford dealership to get a part reprogram. To be told by the service manager that was a lie it was there to figure out what was wrong with it i have paperwork the last time it was at the shop i gave him paperwork where i took it to ford. got it back from him ran worse than before action auto wants to use another mechanic 2 weeks later they call for a payment i try to set up to get it back in shop. Told them i was done paying untill fixed its been 6m a hour later they repossessed it a few days later i got letter of intent to sale. If went through a rigorous inspection those codes would be found called and e-mail the complaint on the back of sticker if not satisfied no answer.i will take this as far as i need to i have proof and they just want to scam.Business response

Our warranty covers anything major mechanical for 12 months or 12,000 miles. Whichever comes first. Under our warranty we use third party shops to complete the work as timely as possible. As of Covid, our shops continue to be backed up due to a national parts shortage. We always do our very best to make sure we are working with every customer on payments while the car is in a repair status. This situation was no different. Once the car was returned to Mr. ******, we did inquire about a payment. In which Mr. ****** stated he would not be paying for the vehicle and he would like for us to take it back. We explained that if he was still not satisfied, we could send it to another shop if he would like. He maintained that he would like for us to pick up the vehicle. So, at his request, we picked up the vehicle and sent a letter stating he had 14 days to change his mind as per our normal voluntary or involuntary process. As to the codes, we have no knowledge of that, as we do not repair vehicles at our locations. After picking up and inspecting the vehicle, there was equipment wired into the vehicle that was not completed at our shops and there were over 5500 miles put on the car during this time.Customer response

Complaint: ********. As far as the picture there has not been a wire put in there the vehicle antenna wire had been cut and I had no radio since purchas and as far as payment we agreed the second time it went to the shop yall called me about a payment and my vehicle had already been there for over a week I would resume payments when I got it back I had you on

That is a antina wire I was going to replace because I had no radio since I bought it look a little closer there has not been a wire installed as far as payment in December I had yall ln speaker phone and have 3 witnesses I would resume payments when i got my car back and I did still not fixed that would have accounted for them payments I can see we are not going to get no where with this I keep good records and I wont stop i will take it as far as I need to because I can promise you I'm not getting stuck with paying for a vehicle $14,700 for a vehicle that was junk that you sold me knowing about I have more evedince than time allowed me to post on here of the shady lies yall have told me

At this time, Action Auto has responded to all concerns with solutions, such as, repairs and swapping vehicles at no charge to Mr. ******. Mr. ****** has chosen not to take part in those solutions. We ask that this complaint be closed.
