I was promised auto transport for a certain timeframe and a certain price. The end result was an ultimatum by the transportation company... I either pay more money to receive service in the time promised or I wait an extra two weeks to receive the service at the original price. This is a clear case of bait and switch. I simply do not want this to happen to another customer. In the end, I had to hire a new company and am paying an extra $565 due to the fact that I am now under the gun.Business response

We apologize but there was miscommunication on our part internally and externally during this transport. However, an ultimatum was not given nor was there any bait and switch. That's not how we do business! We were able to get this customer's transport scheduled for a pick up on Monday, May 15th at the original price quoted. This customer opted not to proceed with ** and cancelled his transport. We refunded his 10% deposit in full.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: The manager who called me (after the customer service rep could not provide a timeframe) told me unequivocally that they WOULD NOT transport my car in the time they promised at the same price. He told me he could transport at the same price only if I waited an additional 10 days (from the day of our phone call). He also said there were carriers that could do the job on time but that it would cost more. My reply was that, since carriers are available, J and S should hire them to transport my car and pay the difference since they promised me a certain price for a certain time frame. The managers reply was thats not how it works in our business. No solution. No offer to ship my car on the 15th at the same price. So I had to hire another company at more money and I paid the new company at that time. Later that day, after my BBB complaint, the original customer service rep called me and offered the 15th, but I had already hired the new company at that time. The bottom line is that they did not deliver what they promised (until I submitted my complaint and hired a new transport company). The end result was that I ended up paying hundreds more for services as I was under the gun due to the tactics of J and S.

J&S transported my vehicle on 6/22/22. The trailer/truck used to transport my vehicle apparently did not have an E-Z pass. Photos were taken of the back of the trailer showing my ***************** plate. I received toll violations from 3 states that I cant resolve with E-Z Pass and J&S is not taking responsibility. Im seeking the money to pay these violations including penalties.Business response

The customer brought this to our attention back in late August. We gave him the documentation we thought he needed to resolve the issue and never heard from him again. We assumed the issue had been resolved. Apparently, the documentation wasn't suffice so the issue was never resolved but we were never made aware of it until this complaint was filed against us some two months later. Had we been contacted directly earlier, we could have resolved the issue immediately. We have since reached out to the customer directly and have taken care of all charges he incurred. This issue has been resolved.
