This company offers a lifetime warranty if the scheduled maintenance is done as required by the manufacturer. I always used KSN so that I knew I was doing what I was supposed to be doing and on time. 4 years into it, they conveniently did not reset the mileage on the oil change meter and did not put a sticker in the window for me to see visually. When I finally questioned why I had not gotten the alert on my truck and I made an appointment. Well lo and behold I went over the recommended oil change which voided my warranty. This was something I was very careful to not do, but.... when you trust the company that you purchased the vehicle from and they seem to do something so sneaky it appears they did it intentionally.Business response

I have attached the service history for ************************ and her oil changes. As you can see, she has never had her oil changed in the required 5000 miles that it states on her warranty. Her very first oil change after purchasing her vehicle was 6680 miles over the 5000 requirement. She actually went ***** miles before getting her oil changed. Her warranty would have been nullified at that time. She was told repeatedly by our service advisors that she had to do timely changes in order to keep her warranty valid. She did not do so. Also, the warranty company is the one that will cancel her warranty. Kenny Simpson Nissan cannot reinstate the warranty because she wants us to. As you can see from the attachment, she is responsible for the cancelled warranty by her own failure to perform the necessary oil changes timely.Initial Complaint

I bought a used vehicle a little over a month ago from Kenny Simpson Nissan. I have had nothing but problems with this vehicle. Have brought it in 2 times, both times they did not do anything, had my vehicle for an entire day both times and told me, we cant find anything. An ad they had in June prompted me to do a trade in/payoff and get into a different vehicle. They were supposed to pay off my loan from prior financing company. I started getting messages from prior financing company that I have an overdue balance? I have text once and called and left messages 2 times for someone from Kenny Simpson to contact me, I have had no response. My vehicle smells moldy and musty on hot days, this Im sure is due to a leak in my sun roof. A steady stream of water poured in on my sons head when I took this vehicle to the car wash the first week I got it. Ive told Kenny Simpson and they stated they cant do anything and my warranty doesnt cover it? I have a check engine light on and its running through oil at a ridiculous pace, and shifty horribly, this is a 2016 and only a month since its been new to me.Business response

Concerning the payoff, when we called the lender to find out why we have not received the lien release, we were told that was an additional amount due over the payoff that was quoted during the sale. The additional payoff was sent to tohe lien holder at that time and has been handled.
This customer's car is in our shop at this time for our technicians to look it over. ******** stated that were removing this complaint as the vehicle is being looked at. Our owner and service manager are in contacted with customer.

For reference, this was a used vehicle and there is no lemon law in the **************** for used vehicles. An appointment was made for the customer on 6-27-23 to look at the struts and customer did not show up for the scheduled appointment. Another appointment was set for September 1, 2023, and customer was introduced to the service manager and service advisor. Again the customer did not show up for the scheduled appointment. At no time were we told anything about a radiator problem. Vehicle was sold to customer on 3-29-23 as AS-IS, no WARRANTY.Initial Complaint

I strongly do not recommend Kenny Simpson Nissan. The service department is managed poorly with an unprofessional and unethical manager. The technicians are not to be trusted and may not be properly trained, ************* they missed a major problem with my car. I took it in twice and each time I was told they could not find anything wrong.Their error, misdiagnose, lack of concern and sloppy service cost me while out of state. *While out of state I had the same car issue I had taken my car in for. I had to get the transmission replaced in ******** **. It cost me $5555.00.When I got back in town I went to the dealership and spoke to the service manager, *************************. The manager agreed with me and pointed out the the technician errors to me. He stated he would talk to the owner for me.After numerous attempts to resolve this issue I am now being ghosted by the service department manager and the owner himself.I will never recommend shopping at Kenny Simpson or utilizing their service department. Other communities in Montana will serve you better.Business response

Our records show the name ******************** On 8-17-20 ************** came into the dealership stating her vehicle was losing power on long trips. At that time the vehicle show no codes and no recommended repairs. On 4-10-21 she came in for an oil change and tire rotation. On 4-16-21 she again came in for recommended services of shocks, cabin filter and brake flush. On 6-15-21 she was on a road trip in, it appears, ********, **********, and had her transmission replaced on the recommendation of *****************. Our service manager did try and help her through the warranty for life program, but ************** missed several of the required services to keep the warranty in force. We tried but due to her lack of required maintenance we could get her no payment. We have no obligation for a transmission replaced out of state.
