Buyer beware if you plan to do any business with Bretz RV!On August 17th my husband and I found ourselves looking at fifth wheels at Bretz RV, usually we deal with Bishs in *********. ******* talked us into buying a beautiful ************ Solitaire, and Mr. *********************** ************* F350. We gave them ****** of our money and paperwork that stated that we could not back out of the deal.We were trading in our truck and fifth wheel, scheduled to bring down on August 27th right before the Labor Day weekend. I had faxed/emailed whatever paperwork that was asked for by Bretz. On the 26th I received a phone message confirming our appointment the next day to arrive at Bretz with our fifth wheel and truck ready to hand it over and pick up our new units. On the 27th (Tuesday) we closed our business (we are self-employed) and drove to ********. This is a 2.5-hour drive one way. Once we arrived (11:30am), we were instructed to unhook our fifth wheel from the truck. We then were given water and shown to a lobby. After about 45 minutes to an hour a finance manager comes in and informs us that our fathers death certificate, that had to do with the trailer only, had ** at the end of his name but not on any other documentation so they could not do the deal because they would never be able to get our trailer titled to sell! Keep in mind they had all paperwork from day one! My husband was saying hold on! Cant we take our unit and talk to the *** the next day? They, Bretz RV, said no. We were in shock that they had us drive all the way there to do this to us. On our way home, my husband stopped at ***** to see if they can sell us a unit. We have our new ************ Solitaire Front Living! *** had no problem!Bretz RV lied when they stated that they had checked on this! They could have stopped us from driving all that way if they wanted to back out of the deal but instead, they lost us a day of work plus gas and time spent driving all that way for nothing!Review from Tana W

Long story short, I bought an rpod at Bretz RV show at ********************* in June 2023. I signed a purchase agreement, and put money down. Only to find out they sold that unit to another customer and tried to assign me one they had on their lot. Only to find out they didn't have it in ******** but ********, and it had damage in the front window and wallpaper. They promised it could be repaired and warranty covered. It was but not after a year of pains to get it done.At the end of the day, this doesnt cost Bretz anything, but it costs me in ways that cant be quantified by a dollar time, energy, trust... so much for family values. While I still got R-Pod model I want, I can't say this was a good buying experience. Or service experience thereafter. Fast forward one year, the buying experience was indicative of the entire dealership operations.Purchased June 19 (show unit), purchased this unit July 1 Sept 29- Nov 30 (work not completed but I picked up so I could store under cover for winter)March 22- present, work finally completed. Arrived to pickup to find battery completely dead. Work was sloppy, and they did not clean up their mess in the unit. No complementary outside wash. Just poor quality. The only time I got updates is when I ask for them. Delays were always an excuse with Forest River not sending correct parts. And I got a call from Bretz Service in April regarding doing a survey of my most recent service experience. The gal couldn't get off the phone fast enough when I said it was a 2/10. She didn't even ask me the next questions. If you buy at Bretz, be sure to get everything in writing and expect to be the one doing the heavy lifting when it comes to communication, and do not believe for one second that these folks have family values. They are all about the bottom line, and they will absolutely bend the rules of a purchase agreement when it works in their favor.Review from Timothy P

Bretz rv was supposed to do a full estimate to fix our Motorhome. It took 7 weeks to get the estimate. They neglected to list all the damage and instead of talking to us they were talking to the insurance company without our knowledge. They than told the insurance company they just wanted our Motorhome to go away. So unprofessional.Review from William H

My opinion is Bretz is just out to make a sale! After that you're on your own! My Wife and I bought a brand new 2022 Transcend that was a close out model. We left the ******** store on our way to visit family for Easter. The storage doors both sides blew out by the time we got to ********* and had to duct tape them closed. We contacted the salesman and all he was worried about was whether or not we did the sales survey to get 9 out of ten stars he was looking for. He than transferred us to service who told us to call them when we got back so they could get it in. We did that and they said they could get it right in. This is the week after Easter mind you, so we take it in and tell them that whilst they are fixing the storage doors and some other things we wanted vent protectors put on, not a problem the service person said. So 3 weeks later they get a hold of us and said they got it in finally and they would have to order the vent covers and storage doors and were not sure how long it would be maybe another 3 weeks? You would think that maybe on a brand new camper that they sold they would jump right after getting things done but no you already bought it so it's your problem not theirs!Bretz RV & Marine Response

Bretz RV does not stand behind what they sell. We purchased a brand new $60k camp trailer, only to discover it had a spliced water line. It flooded within 4 hours of taking possession. It also leaked terribly at one of the slides. After returning it for service, we were constantly given the runaround. We had to call the manufacturer ourselves, to push the approval through. We have owned the trailer for a month now and still do not have possession. The service department claimed the underbelly was completely fixed and told us to finally pick it up, but when we checked the work it was done hastily and we refused to take it. We are still waiting. Our brand new trailer has been hobbled together. Bretz does not do right by their customers. They only treat you well until they have your signature on the contract, the. They could care less. I am so disappointed and frustrated by them. I would not recommend buying anything from them.Bretz RV & Marine Response

We strive to help people go camping and enjoy the outdoor lifestyle. When things go wrong it goes against everything we stand for and bothers us deeply.Review from Wendy K

My Husband and I purchased an RV and while our salesman was amazing we have had nothing but issues since we bought it. We didn't see issues when purchased in August 2021 and stored with them over the winter. Received a call to tell us the awning was being replaced due to holes. The part was "misplaced" and had to be ordered again. Once installed we went to pick up with new awning and it still had holes. Had to be ordered again and fixed taking 2 more months. We were finally able to take it out in May for 1 week. Furnace doesn't work, back awning needs new motor, outside radio doesn't work, glass in bedroom falls out, linings are lifting. Serious lack of communication with the service department. We are moving and told them when we took it back after 1 week that we need it back at the end of June. Found out today they didn't even submit the paperwork for the fixes and they have to submit paperwork for warranty. Then they can order parts. We were told we can have the parts shipped to where we are moving so it can be fixed there. I am suppose to be living in it until we purchase our new home. We cannot have it in the shop while I have no where to live. I am disappointed with this company and the lack of follow through to please the customer. I wanted an working RV and right now we really don't have that.Bretz RV & Marine Response
