I bought a brand new build house 6 months ago and the deficiencies are piling up. 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty has deferred every single claim thus far stating that "all are considered to be non-emergency items". I have a massive ditch, 5 feet deep in some parts, that cuts across my yard and the yards of the three new builds to our left. The ditch is tied into the ditch that the county owns that is closest to the street. There is always sitting water in this ditch and 1/3 of the front yard because it is fed by a creek and was not tied in correctly. This is causing everyone's driveways to erode and wash away. The builder lied to me twice stating that he did not dig the ditch and that the county did. I spoke to the Director of Public Works for the county and he assured me that the county would never have dug this ditch past the easement line. On top of that major issue we have found multiple deficiencies around the brand new home and were told that it is my "responsibility to resubmit these items during the 11th month warranty period". I have read multiple reviews from this warranty company and this specific builder which state that they did not fix issues in that 11th month. This seems like a scam that the builder and warranty company are running together. We have doors that don't close, parts of the yard that are collapsing where what looks like a power line was buried because you can trace it straight to the power pole. That sounds like a safety issue to me.
