We used Bridge ****** services in 8/2022 to downsize before moving. We trusted them with approximately 70% of our belongings and they failed miserably. They GROSSLY misrepresented their services and how they operate. The majority of what they said would happen did NOT. They 'lost' major items from inventory, they did not follow their own advertised process, they did not respond to multiple support requests and they took no accountability for their mistakes. Their errors cost ** both money and significant losses in items we would have otherwise allocated. They tell you they have knowledgeable appraisers and they get around 20% of retail, thus you get 10. The reality is around 1% and they later admitted that they price for "what we can get", not for the worth of the item. They HIGHLY overstated their value, our returns, and their process integrity, all of which were decision points for using them. Had they spoken the truth about what they do, we would NEVER have used them and instead reallocated items differently. A letter detailing our experience and the specific offenses was sent to the President, the ***** of ********* and the Bridge staff involved on 3/20/23. No acknowledgement or response has been received as of 4/21/23. The bottom line - Bridge lied about their services, didn't do what they said they would, lost a lot of our stuff, took no accountability for any of their errors, priced ridiculously, and would not respond to our queries until items were already sent to thrift, thus deeming our concerns "too late". This all adds up to Bridge effectively stealing from **. Had we video of our items on loading day, we'd be suing them for the value of those items, but it never occurred to ** they wouldn't do their job properly or with integrity. They lied about their services, stole from **, and then when confronted, dismissed ** with the platitude "at least the items went to donation". Recommend anyone think HARD and LONG about using Bridge as they are a mess.Business response

We are sorry *********************** did not have a positive experience using our Estate Sales & Services. We have reviewed the complaint internally and do not believe the client was misled during the estate sale.
However, based on ***** feedback, we have made changes to our communication policy to ensure our clients understand our estate sale process. One new addition is that if a client does not respond to our email regarding his/her inventory list, WNC Bridge now follows up with a phone call to ensure the client is in agreement.
