I've paid the company Structural Pros (Jeremy * M*****) $21,795 for crawlspace repairs. The repairs have not been completed. HVAC system has been inoperable for over a week, there's a gaping hole in my dinning room area. I've been trying to get in touch with him since last week and haven't been successful.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/11/04) */ Ms. ***********, I want nothing more than to complete this project for you. I'm not sure why you are saying I'm unresponsive. The very first correspondence we had regarding this was you telling me that you no longer wanted me to complete the project and I wasn't allowed on your property any longer. I've done everything short of begging you to complete the project, however when you stated I was no longer allowed on your property I respected your wishes and even stated I would not come back if you would allow my workers to complete the project. Although this is a breach of our contract I respected your wishes. I understand this is the first time you've had to go through living in a home with Structural Repairs taking place, it's not easy however I strongly suggested you vacate the home while the project was underway. I typically wouldn't have allowed that however you were adamant to remain at the property and work from home. I have no hard feelings I don't understand what went wrong other than your Crawl Space is 12" in height lower in some places and very complicated to work in, however that was somewhat unforeseen due to the ductwork making it impossible to view on original free quote. Again please allow us to finish the job for you, sorry for confusion or the reason you forbid me t forbid me to be on your property again no hard feelings I know it's stressful having people working on your primary residence, I just ask you to let us finish the project and resolve this issue. He took a large deposit even though I provided materials. The job was harder than he thought so after I paid the deposit he quoted me a much higher price for the same job and refused to refund me the deposit when I did not agree to the new price even though he did not complete any meaningful work toward the actual project quoted. The agreement was for him to remove the existing structural straps and bolts on the house and to replace them with new ones. He essentially told me he spent a lot of time and broke one of his tools figuring out it was harder than expected, and I owed him for that. I hired him to complete a specific project, not as an hourly worker. I had already paid a structural engineer to determine that work was needed.
