Well to start buyer beware. I am a 60yr old male who is on the second mattress. I purchased a Passions in 2016 after two years it was nicknamed the taco mattress due to the folding and sagging. I asked for the mattress police to come out to take a look and a replacement was sent in 2018. As of this week I was turned down by the claims department on the second mattress for the same issue. I want to believe the company try's to find the best material at a fair price to build there mattresses, however they to can find themselves obtaining inferior products. Passing them along to consumers is not a good practice. I have only asked for what is fair and equitable for both parties. I am in no way satisfied by KINGSDOWNS response. I can leave with this KINGSDOWN used to be my go to mattress company....Kingsdown, Inc. USA Response

Kingsdown 30 Year Warranty Review We are in our 70s and purchased two twin XL mattress sets June, 2019 from ***************** Furniture and fitted according to our weight and sleep patterns. We are on fixed income and do not have $4,500.00 for a mattress and foundation replacement. The sales rep told us the mattresses are warranted for 30 years and this would be the last mattress we would need to purchase. The mattress has become really soft and broken down resulting in aches and pains to my wifes hips. She is not obese and weighs app. 150 lbs. In February, 2023 we filed warranty claim # *****, submitted required pictures, supporting documentation and received an engineering review stating the mattress sagging is normal wear. (I contacted Kingsdown and they stand by their engineering review.) I sleep on the other mattress and weigh 205 pounds. We are both side sleepers. The mattress submitted for warranty repair/replacement is my wifes -she weighs ********************************************************** June 2024 we switched the mattresses and I started sleeping on the broken down mattress. Since sleeping on this mattress I feel an indentation at hip level and noticed the mattress edge has also broken down. KINGSDOWN 30 YEAR WARRANTY IS GARBAGE AND IM PROVIDING THIS REVIEW TO CAUTION OTHERSReview from Sharon M

We purchased a Kingsdown kings size mattress from ****'s Beds. Everyone we dealt with was professional and friendly. However, this is the worst mattress we have ever purchased. After 1 year it looks worse than the mattress we replace it for. We filed a claim within the first year, but it was denied. I weigh 128 and my husband weighs 180 and each of our sides have sunken pockets with a huge hump in the center. I was told this is normal for a king size bed. It looks awful and I can no longer sleep in the bed due to back issues.Kingsdown, Inc. USA Response

I just purchased the *************** Imperial 16" Plush Euro Top Mattress this past weekend from Mattress Firm. Finally after 8 years of an aching back I have a firm mattress that both my wife and I love, its amazing really, was pricey but worth every *****. I woke today with a back that didn't ache! Very happy with the purchase.Kingsdown, Inc. USA Response

Since executive teams of Old Brick Furniture of ******, ** and Kingsdown Mattress of Mebane, ** failed to respond to my two emails (5/20, 5/28/24) by 6/5/24, I need your help.I purchased a Sealy mattress from Old Brick Furniture on 9/7/2021 ($528.12 with 10-year warranty) solely based on the bedMatch, a mattress test equipment available in the store, specifically in anticipation of having a well-fitted mattress for my chronic severe lumbar scoliosis of >80 degress, osteoporosis and arthritis. The bedMatch test equipment is owned by Kingsdown Mattress of NC. The associate of Old Brick mentioned to me that memory foam mattresses would not be advisable. I took her advise based on the test. I suffered much back pain from the mattress. The bedMatch test was deemed inaccurate as it is based on weight of person only, as described in a link I sent to both businesses. A color coded chart reveals weight of the person corresponds to firmness of mattresses. I am small and light (below 100 lbs). My test results revealed a softer mattress even though I used firm mattresses in the past. BedMatch totally failed to detect my severe lumbar scoliosis and other back issues. The mattress is used only in the winter days in my warmer room, which I used it ~18 weeks since winter of 2022 (due to surgery of winter 2021, the mattress was not used. I used the master bed room for convenience, therefore the mattress there). Due to the faulty bedMattress test leading to a totally unsatisfactory mattress, I ask the businesses to compensate me with a free exchange where I pay $0 with my mattress, which is in excellent condition, to a new twin mattress that is suitable for my back issues.Review from Rita W

I purchased a Kingsdown mattress in 2017 and now it has deteriorated tremendously and sunken in so bad until it hurts my body completely, being disabled I filed a complaint because I had a 10 year warranty on the mattress, but Kingsdown denied it., they said it had a stain and was 1.5 inches sunken in. I am reading all the complaints against this company and seem like BBB is allowing this company to continue their business and disregarding the consumers complains, so I advise anyone not to purchase this product.Kingsdown, Inc. The warranty claim was carefully reviewed and based on the degree of the penetrating stain, the mattress did not qualify to be replaced under warranty. All mattress manufacturers require that the mattress be free and clear of any stains to be eligible for the protection of the warranty. The reason that a stain compromises the integrity of the mattress is because the mattress, being made of foam, fiber, and inner padding material will absorb the penetration and begin to compress and break down. Heat, pressure, and penetrating moisture cause deterioration inside the mattress. While professional dry cleaning may remove the outward appearance of the stain, the inward damage cannot be reversed, voiding the warranty. The warranty recommends the use of a mattress protector to prevent soiling/staining.Review from Ashley J

Although the warranty company was very responsive, I would like to warn people to never buy Kingsdown mattresses. I could sleep better on the floor. They sag and don't support the body. It's obviously a company that is trying to get away with using cheap material. Nice folks, bad beds.Review from Tammy H

I purchased a king size mattress from a local store, it was suppose to have a 10 year warranty on the mattress, my mattress has sink places in it and the seams are coming apart on the bottom of the mattress. I contacted the store they told me to contact kingsdown, I sent them pictures of the ripped seams and sink places, kingsdown said I didn’t have a warranty because it was a clearance sale, the mattress was brand new, and was less than 3 years old when I noticed the rip seams at the bottom of the mattress, and it shouldn’t have sink places in it . Kingsdown wouldn’t even do anything even when the store contacted them. The seams coming apart is the workman ship of the factory and not anything I had done. The mattress is not up to standards that kingsdown makes. I have had 3 kingsdown and this one was not made right or the seams wouldn’t have came loose. Kingsdown does NOT stand by their warranty at all. They should have replaced my mattress it was not up to standard! I have always purchased a kingsdown they are my go to mattress but if they are going to treat their customers like this I will never buy another kingsdown again. If the product is not right they should replace it!
