I purchased a new GMC **** elevation from Griffin Motors on 1/22/21. Everything went great for the first 25k Miles. ***** the the truck was constantly in the shop get the same problems repaired multiple times. It is currently in the shop again and has been for 3 weeks. They cant give me an answer as to when the part will be in. This truck should have been bought back or replaced a while ago. The have not tried to help me with this nor offered when GM even said they need to initiate the Buy back. They tried to trade my truck with some crazy payment which was ridiculous. I have lost so much money Over the past year because of this and unable to perform jobs cause I need a truck and now in a rental mini van. I want them to do whats right and replace the vehicle or buy back the truck for what I paid. If not I will have to take this matter further. I have all documentation and work orders as well. The staff in service has been helpful but I feel like they know something and not disclosing it or been told not to discuss it with me. I can not live like this anymore and paying for something I dont even have. I will attach work orders I have at moment. I also have video pics and the last time if Broke down could have caused a major accident.Business response

I am rejecting this response because: The suspension has no relation the the issue at hand which is emissions and engine related. Also the suspension leveling kit was installed by ******** Chevrolet of ********* which is a certified dealer and required no factory installed change to the vehicle and its drive train. They are diverting attention to the problem at hand and trying to avoid it and how me and my family are at risk driving this vehicle. I will obtain any means necessary to come to a conclusion on this matter. I have all supporting documents pics and videos to support my claim. I will bring this the attention of GM as well.Business response

***Update***Since my last review the dealership has done nothing to resolve this issue so here we go:After traveling back on business from CA I went to the dealer late evening to procure this Platinum Escalade for my wife. We traded a pristine 2014 CTS at a loss for this awesome Escalade at night. Part of the closing docs with this dealership is a paper that stated once you leave the lot with this vehicle its yours. Period. Ok I agreed. What an idiot I am. I fell for the whole family owned business that has been in business for **************. This is what I agreed to. Mind you I have the Griffin window sticker in hand. A $62k Escalade Platinum with no floor mats, a big dent in the roof above the passenger side windshield, a generic 2nd key fob that doesnt allow any vehicle features to be assigned to it. All door handles are loose, like very loose and clearly wont last long without attention. Wiper blades shredded and falling apart. 30% oil life left, passenger rear door handle does not light up like the rest, drivers door doesnt line up when closed looks like its partially open when fully closed, a rental agreement in the glovebox with another couples info on it and I mean all info, and it was filthy dirty inside and out even after a second cleaning. Deep scratches in the paint all over and honestly I dont know what else. The list is long but distinguished. All the dealer cared about after my first post was the document with someones personal information on it. Once I told them it wasnt my info they stated to simply destroy it. Thats it. No more communication and I now have a vehicle I cant get rid of either. Absolutely abhorrent and disgraceful!!! They know they did me wrong thats why they dont respond to me.Business response

Our pricing tools take into consideration, the condition of the unit, the miles of the unit, and the demand and supply for the unit in the local market. We encourage our customers to drive and look over our inventory to make a purchase they are happy with. Looking at your file, I see that your family visited the store 2 times to look at the selected SUV and test-drove the unit as well. While we want you to enjoy your used car, we do not represent used units cars as a new unit. Older cars in some cases have cosmetic defects like scratches and dents or show signs of wear and use. Our car was marketed AS IS as indicated on the contract you signed. If an item like floor liners is something you wanted, we would have been more than happy to provide a quote for you to include those in your purchase. Wanting to provide you with good service we would be more than happy to provide a quote for the items you have concerns with and offer you a trade discount for those purchases or repairs. Regarding the oil life of 30 percent Griffin Motor Company provided a complimentary oil change for your first oil service visit.

I am rejecting this response because: It is very convenient to reply to this BBB complaint in the manner that they have. Offering me discounts on floor mats? The window sticker stated they were included. Discounts on services? The sales rep stated he was going to "throw in" some oil changes but I have no proof of that either. He also stated he would have someone "look at the dent" but that was just more deception. As stated numerous times prior there has been no communication from the dealership until now and it's all just a robotic response to blow me off. Words cannot express how wrong and unsettling this is. Monroe is a growing town with good old fashion real people in it. Except for this dealership unfortunately. There has to be a more equitable solution than me paying more money. With deals such as this I'm sure they have plenty already.Business response

Dear Customer,
We have mailed a copy of the complimentary oil service card provided to you at the time of purchase to your home address. Please contact your sales consultant when you have reached the miles needed for the service and the consultant will coordinate an appointment for you. We will be more than happy to look at the key fob at that time or sooner. If sooner is better, please contact your sales consultant to make those arrangements.The Key Fob check is a reprogramming of the device and will require both keys to be present to complete the task. If you choose to have the Key Fob and the first service completed at the same time please when making the appointment, ask and the sales consultant to arrange transportation to and from your home if needed.

I purchase a truck from this dealership and have had nothing but problem after problem! It has been in their shop more than in my possession! Now its completely broken down and no one will reply to me I left a bad review on ****** they deleted it! I email the ** no response I called to talk to service manager never got a call back! Completely unacceptable! I want all my money back and they can take the truck I will gladly do my Business somewhere else!Business response

We are sorry the client is having trouble with the vehicle he purchased. At the time of purchase the customer was offered the opportunity to purchase a used car warranty protection plan to protect his purchase if a mechanical issue arose. Unfortunately, the customer declined this opportunity and did not purchase the added coverage. Older high mileage motor vehicles tend to require more repairs and a warranty is always strongly recommended to ensure the customer is protected when things go wrong. As a company we always want to provide support to our customers, in this case at the companys expense, the service department replaced the failing engine component needed. High mileage cars and trucks are much more prone to failure then newer low mileage vehicles and this unit is no exception. The repair completed brought to light another component failure that the company also provided to the customer at no charge. If the customer has any further questions, please contact the service manager with whom he has been speaking with.
