This review is for *********************************** at ************************************************************************ I bought an item online from Lowes and had it delivered to me. I returned it to the local store November 14 2024 but I did not receive the full amount back on my credit card. I brought this up to the customer service representative at the time, and she refused to refund the additional taxes telling me it is my fault because where I live has a higher tax rate than the store does. (We live around the corner so this is highly unlikely). This has happened previously as well. They never refund the full amount to my credit card. Their taxes are always off in the stores favor. I talked to the manager today, and they are aware of this issue but have no intention of fixing the problem. Their customer service software will not allow them to input the amount you paid for the item, so the customer is always shorted intentionally. They will not automatically give you cash back for the difference or even a gift card in the store for the difference. If you do not ask to speak to a manager in person, you cannot get your additional money back. Even then, they refuse to refund it to your original credit card when asked. They begrudgingly give you the difference in cash and make you feel cheap for asking for it. If they do that to every single customer for every online return, ********************** is making a ton of money off this shady practice. I talked to their corporate number today and their policy is to refund the entire amount back to the credit card automatically without any tax penalty to the customer.I talked to the local customer service ***** the local manager and the corporate Lowes. I think they should be investigated for purposely, intentionally and repeatedly defrauding consumers when they return an online item to the local store.Review from Lois B

Beware when buying appliances.I was remodeling an apartment in ********, ** so I went to Lowes to purchase the appliances. Ordered a range/oven, dishwasher, microwave. I spoke with the salesperson and told her the wattage on the electric range needed to be 40 amps or below (50s built apartment complex). She picked one out. Had everything delivered to the apartment. Contractor did not install for a few weeks because of the work schedule. Once he tried to install the range, it was determined that the wattage was 50 amps. I called Lowes to replace, they informed me the return policy was 48 hours from delivery. Not once in my ordering process did anyone tell me that important piece of information. After a long, and I mean long, laborious process and hours of my time I finally gave up trying to get it returned and reimbursed. I ended up giving the range away and buying another one from *******************, who were more than happy to help me. I will never buy from Lowes again.Review from Jessica D

Whatever you do, DO NOT buy a Maytag product! This by far has been the worst week of my life with these people. I purchased a Maytag Dishwasher in February 2023 to have to turn around and be stuck after 19 months having to buy a new machine because I was told its out of the 1 year warranty and Im just SOL. No help from corporate and no help from Lowe's Home Improvement. As you can see below, the dates and price of purchase as well as the repair receipt from appliance repair tech stating it will need 2 parts after less than 2 years for about what I paid initially. Its a SCAM with these people. They are out to use you and never support you. ******** customer service. They have sold me a lemon product and turn around to place the blame on me for not getting an extended warranty on the item. Even if I did have an extended warranty, the machine shouldn't be out of commission at less than 2 years old. Its a piece of c*** and I would NEVER EVER buy from these people again or recommend anyone to them and I will not stop until the world knows how crappy they are!Review from Heather C

I purchased my water softening system, garbage disposal, system sink, and an expensive dishwasher from Lowe's. The installer who did the dishwasher did not know anything about the product he installed the dishwasher with the hose that was too small, causing the expensive unit to back up and not drain properly. I called the manufacturer who sent out two service technicians which both said it is an easy fix, change out the hose to match the size of the other holes use a Y shape valve to reroute the hose to the garbage disposal because of the air gap he even said it was something that was very simple to fix but as a manufacturer they couldn't do it. He told me to call Lowe's back and have the installer corrected , I called the customer service line and the install sales *** was very rude and unprofessional. The call is recorded and easy to playback the conversation very dissatisfied with Lowes. My water softening system was a high dollar purchase along with the dishwasher and I cannot use my dishwasher unless I call an outside plumber but I paid Lowe's to install . I feel like it was a robbery!Review from John P

We purchased a ************** tractor. The Lowe's tractor sales employees told us to buy an extended warranty since the ************** warranty only covers 1 year. We purchased the Lowe's warranty. When we needed to use the warranty, I gave the Lowe's warranty paperwork to the ************** service company. The service manager told us that the **** Deere tractor comes with a 48 months or 300 hrs warranty. The manager asked why we purchased this Lowe's warranty? I told him, that the Lowe's employee told us that the tractor only had a 1 yr warranty with **** Deere and encouraged us to buy the Lowe's warranty for our *************, we found out that we never needed to purchase the Lowes warranty that cost us $384.97 Spoke with Lowes **************** at the 1800 #. They could not do anything. Spoke with the Lowe's store where the purchase was made and the store manager told me she cannot override and refund us since it's past 30 days. ******* will not refund the amount we paid.Review from Arina P

Lowes failed to completely fulfill $1600 order. Ordered a vanity with two mirrors. One mirror has not been delivered. As I found out later it got broken in the process and I had to figure out myself what happened a month later as there were no notifications, no emails, no nothing about the second mirror. If I did not call it would just be left as is even though the money has already been paid for the undelivered item.I called the customer service, spend an hour with them on the phone. They could not schedule the delivery for the second item as it has been on back order. They refunded the one item.I was told to return the second item to the store (please note - the return window for that item has been closed). I asked to schedule a pickup from my house as I do not believe this is my fault this happened. I fulfilled my obligations and paid for the order. I feel that Lowes did fail its obligations in this case and the least they could do is schedule the pickup for the second mirror that was delivered. But that option was denied. Basically, the customer service *** left me with no options and I do not understand why a customer has to be punished when ********************** failed its obligations not once but several times in the process.I would like a refund for the second mirror or a scheduled pickup. I do not believe that I have to spend my time returning whatever was delivered. My time is valuable to me. Also, the customer service told me that there is no complaint department or any other supervisor that I can talk to. Only after I persisted, they took the c implant themselves. Delivered and installed a defective microwave. Refused to do anything about it until we purchased a new ******* we have to wait at least a week until it arrives and we can get refunded. They would not allow us to return defective one for a refund.Review from Ramchandar R
