I noticed that they are claiming they dont report any of this, but on my actual report, it says they are the ones that provided the information. They told the *************************** that I am a felon. I am not a felon. I dont see how they can get away with this. This company has violated my rights !! They are inaccurately reporting a criminal history that does not pertain to me, despite me providing evidence of its inaccuracy. Consequently, this company should not be considered a reliable resource for rental or employment screening. Despite numerous attempts to contact them via email to rectify this issue, they have not responded to my communications or have called me. This ongoing misrepresentation is hindering my ability to secure housing and has caused me severe stress as I am a single mother and is constantly getting denied for housing. As a result, I am now in the process of seeking legal counsel to pursue a civil case against them.Genuine Data Services LLC Response

Genuine Data Services is not a consumer reporting agency, does not prepare consumer reports, and does not maintain files on individuals. Genuine Data Services obtains and furnishes raw public records data in bulk to consumer reporting agencies who prepare consumer reports. This company reports false information. I am filing a formal complaint against their erroneous practices. I was denied for housing due to inaccurate reporting to the Apt complex which caused me to lose money! I have attempted to dispute the erroneous information coming up from another person with the same name. It does not make decisions about which criminal records a consumer reporting agency includes on any report. A Data Services Company that supplies criminal data to other companies for the purpose of screening for tenants is obliged to obey the laws of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Genuine Data Services reported a criminal charge to a tenant screening firm and reported it to be an open case. This particular charge is indeed a closed case, a sealed case, and not a conviction. It should never have been reported. DO NOT USE this company for your background checks. They are not following the law, or reporting with due diligence. Use another reputable company that reports records with accuracy, and follows the FCRA law.Genuine Data Services LLC Response

Genuine Data Services (GDS) is a furnisher of public record data. GDS does not create consumer reports or maintain files on consumers. This company is full of it! I had a youth Offender case that has been dismissed an expunged. Which means my that record as youth is sealed. This company sold my information to the third party background check company and reported outdated information! This is illegal under the Laws! If you don't remove the outdated information from my background check that you reported I will contact my lawyer. I was denied housing at an apartment complex and lost money because of this i ask that you please fix this inaccurate reporting. Its an illegal practice.Genuine Data Services LLC Response
