This is, by far, the most ridiculous business experience I have ever had. I extremely regret not doing further research on **** Furniture. I paid, in full, for a table and chairs within one week of agreement of the job. I NEVER received any updates. I always had to call or text them over the course of SIX MONTHS! I asked for pictures of the end result and never got any. They moved from ************** to ******* and changed their phone number. It's clear they're running away from other problems they've given people, considering they moved from ******** too. I asked for a refund and they have yet to give one at all. I have had to pursue legal action. If a prospective customer is doing their research then 1. Good for you! I wish I did as well. 2. Avoid these people like the plague they are. You'll never receive a product nor a refund.Customer response

I do not have a court date. At this point I have only consulted with a lawyer to explore my options. Hopefully it does not come to needing a court date. However, I wanted to stress the level of seriousness that surrounds this situation, as well as the borderline fraud that is taking place.Initial Complaint

Placed an order for a 60” round wood dining table on November 2nd. Paid $850 on November second, which was the first half of the total price. Was told we would have the product before the holidays as the owner and wife were expecting a baby and wanted all orders to be complete. Reached out in January and the owner had no recollection of our order until we sent our proof of payment. Reached out late January for a status and to request a refund if the table was not going to be completed very soon. Owner suggested we choose a different base for the table and we allowed them to continue the order as we were told it would take just over a week to complete. Reached out early feb and the owner said they were finishing up all orders and would reach out soon. Reached out to company today for a full refund as we know the product is not finished. Owner suggested they were going to deliver it this weekend but had an emergency and has refused a refund. By just now researching their name, there are many complaints against them for similar situations. Some include the business moving from colorado to North Carolina without filling orders. I have photos of all conversation and photos of the other complaints that I can submit.Business response

We have been in full contact with customer. We advised them of our refund policy. The said the understand and moved forward with a new design. They understood we have a house flood but request a refund. They have stopped responding to us and threatened to have us blacklisted and report fraud.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:The only mention of their home issues was after we inquired the first time about the status of a refund because the table had not been delivered or any word on it in the timeframe we originally agreed upon.
While we reluctantly accepted the new design idea, we again received no updates on the status until we again asked for a refund because of a lack of progress and communication. At this point, the business replied they didn’t do refunds, and that our table would be “ready this weekend”. I am highly suspicious of this statement as there was no communication leading up to the table being “magically” ready until we initiated the most recent request for a refund. I’m sure it may have sparked interest to hurry up and make promises, but at this point this is a business transaction that was not delivered on by the vendor.

Yes you had messaged on presidents day and we were not working that day and the 2 days prior were the weekend. Again, we do not work weekends or any holidays that our children are out of school. I was going to ask you the following day if the weekend would work for delivery but you had already messaged me threatening my business.
The first table base your wife had picked out was extremely delayed in shipment, which i had not known (a base that I do not make, which was known by your wife when ordering.) I tried resolving the issue by offering ANY custom base that you and your wife decided on for the same price as the one you originally put your deposit down on. The one you both ended up choosing was extremely detailed which was completely fine with us and we agreed that would replace the old table base since nobody knew when it would come in and your wife Sara insisted on **** taking his time and not rushing to build it because she understood that workmanship takes time. That table normally runs an additional 1k more than the price you were quoted. But because of the delay with the original base we were fine with accommodating that! On January 21st I sent a message letting her know our shop was completely full with tables for the military and sent pictures showing her that. (She knew the table was not started yet due to that and was happy for the update) i told her once the tables were picked up that we would begin the base of the table. There was no timeline given for the new table base, you stated we said it was a week but that is completely false, i have all messages of her saying to take our time building and that there was no timeline told for the new base.. From the time **** started building your custom base to the date you messaged was exactly 3 weeks and 2 days. From start to delivery would be under 4 weeks for a custom build table. Your wife also agreed to knowing deposits were non refundable and understood why (bought the original table base with it, and all new lumber for the new table base and your hardwood tops )
As far as us moving from Colorado to North Carolina, yes we did. (We had some customers orders we could not finish due to our home selling extremely fast. Not a single customer of ours was skipped on their refunds.

I am rejecting this response because:I feel we are still talking around the problem. The problem is you were not forthcoming with information unless prompted. Once prompted, you did respond, but from our perspective it was only to save face/buy time. We felt and still feel that things are not as they should be, and as buyers want to exercise our right to cease the operation, recoup what we can, and move on with our lives.
I am aware of the messages that everyone has kept. The heart of the matter is, as a business, you are not and did not keep us up to date. When the deadline goes longer and there is no news, people get suspicious. We have been burned before and didn’t do anything. We lost a lot of money, time and the project we turned in to get repairs on.
You have to see where we are coming from on this because we have heard this before.Sincerely,

I made a deposit for a table, bench and 2 chairs. One deposit in 9/17 for $325 and one on 9/18 for $175. Order was suppose to be ready “later in October”. I asked for an update 10/24 and 10/28. They responded on 10/28 saying they would provide an update. I reached out again on 11/5 asking for update, they responded on 11/17 with no update on order. On 11/18, I asked if a refund was better since the order wasn’t completed yet. On 11/18, they promised free delivery. I asked for an update on 1/3/23 and haven’t heard back. I also posted on their company Facebook page asking for an update on 1/24/23. I still haven’t received any information. I am requesting my full refund as the the order was not delivered when promised in October. And now the company is not responding to any messages from me this entire month.
