I purchased a 2020 Ford Expedition Limited from Randy Marion Ford Statesville on March 26, 2022. The following day, I noticed there was an alert that the car was due for an oil change, had a recall and still had the “insurance” tracker on the windshield for lower insurance rates. The following day, someone brought me a loaner and took my car back to Statesville. The loaner was straight off the lot. It still had stickers all over the windows and windshield. My car was returned the following day. I received an email from the finance person in May asking if all was ok, was I enjoying the car, etc. I emailed back that the car is fine, but I have yet to receive the registration for the car. I never heard anything back from him. I called the SC DMV in June to see if they could give me an estimate of when the registration would be coming. They checked and said that there wasn’t a 2020 Expedition listed under my name or license. Nothing had been filed with the DMV for the transfer. Since it had been over 45 days, they could impound my car due to the transfer not being done and it not being registered to me. I contacted the Statesville office, and discovered that soon after my purchase date, the company who handles the tag transfers had put a stop on my transfer due to my license and paperwork having 2 different addresses. I had explained why there are 2 addresses when I purchased the car and explained this to the person I had on the phone. She was surprised that no one had contacted me about it in the 3 months since buying the car. We obtained the information from the SC DMV website and she sent it to the company handling the transfer. I finally received the temporary tag, but I'm still waiting on the permanent tag and registration. Nothing went smoothly. I cannot recommend Randy Marion to anyone.

I apologize for the delay in you getting your vehicle registration. We use a third-party titling company for out of state customers who purchase. The paperwork associated with this sell was confirmed received by the SC DMV on July 8. This is being monitored to see when SC produces the registration.
