My *********** currently reside in ********. We purchased a home in Dec 2022 in ***********, **. We decided to have the wood floors refinished before we moved into our new ** home. *************************** *******, owner of Royal Pines Flooring LLC came out to see the floors & give us a quote. He informed us that he had 15 plus yrs experience, he was the best in the area & guaranteed we would be satisfied with his work. ****************** quoted us a price of $4,700 to strip, sand, and refinish the wood floors. ****************** was paid 50% in cash the day work began in January 2023 & the remaining 50% was paid in cash when he informed us that the job was completed on Feb 5, 2023. We did not immediately physically inspect the work since we are still living in ********.When we arrived in the ** home in late April, we discovered that there were large areas in 2 rooms that were "unfinished", no final clear coat had been applied to the floor. We contacted ****************** and within a few days, he inspected the floor. He agreed that areas of the floor were not completely & properly finished. He promised ** that he would come back the week of May 15 2023 to work on the floor to make it right and he wanted ** the be happy with his work. We attempted to contact ****************** the week of May 8 2023 to confirm that he would be at the ** home the following week. ****************** did not respond to our communication. He has ignored all our attempts to contact him - he did not/has not returned our many texts or answered phone calls. We communicated to him that we were open to resolving the flooring issue because we are not able to move into the home until the floor refinishing is complete. The last date he responded to us was April 23, 2023.Since ****************** will not communicate with us, we are forced to hire another company to complete the work that ****************** failed to do. We have been quoted $2,330 by ************************* Flooring, *********, ** to complete the refinish of our floors.

you guys loved the floors when I was finished but 3 months passed and now its messed up?,I have the pictures when i finished and the floors looked beautiful until yall messed them up when yall were finishing up the inside of the home, that is why you cannot workout inside the house after floors are finished.

We are rejecting this response because: there has been no resolution. Resolution would be reimbursement of $2,330.00, the cost of fixing their mistake. ***************** uses Bona products,  Traffic HD hardwood floor finish. On their website, the manufacturer states this product has a full cure in 3 days. ***************** informed us that we should wait 3 days before moving furniture into the home. ***************** claims that we are at fault due to working inside the home too soon after the floors were completed (Feb 5, 2023).***************** claims that work being done inside the home compromised the finish on the floors. His theory is not possible because no one entered the home until Feb 9, 2023.  My husband was in the home from Feb 9-Feb 11, 2023 to check/repair a malfunctioning thermostat but no other work was done in the house at that time. On March 22, 2023, my husband arrived at the home to begin some the drywall and painting work. The floors were protected and covered with tarps and paper during the drywall and painting work.April 22, 2023, we arrived at the ********* home and I noticed the color, finish, and texture discrepancies on floors in 2 rooms and we contacted *****************. We sent ***************** a text with a photo of the floor.  ****************** responded and said he could see the issue with the floor from the photo.  He came to inspect the floor on April 23, 2023.  He determined and admitted there was a problem and agreed that they missed applying the finish on the floor and said he would be back in a few weeks to fix the issue.  Shortly after, he stopped returning calls and texts. We have paid a ********************* flooring company from *********, ** $2,330.00 to correct the mistakes made by Mr. ******** flooring company.  We feel that he should reimburse ** the $2,330.00 that we had to pay to correctly and completely finish the hardwood floors in our home.
