As an out of state owner (FL), problem building (ND). had fire damage to duplex building front outer wall and entry door in May2021. Hired out to Absolute Restoration DBA ServPro. Building front damage from tenant negligence in smoking and failing to use appropriate containers for cigarette butts, AR DBA Servpro, said the work, with agreement with insurance, would be performed and completed by 31August2021. No problem they say. Today is 14Dec2021, it has been stall maneuver one after the other. Damaged outer areas has not been touched or repaired. Paid ****+ to have tenant internal furniture items remove from apt. Told this was a requirement to perform repairs!! Furniture and all carpets were removed, replacement never ordered, Current status: bare floors. EFT 5k+ to bank in Oct2021, for payment toward wood material of removing and replace outside balcony deck and repair the front exterior wall area. There has been no orders or maintenance for WEEKS at a time, damage is still present. ***** text my phone asking for an additional 17k+ to place order for external wood panels to finish the job. There has been NO restoration from 7months, I have EFT out over 13k+ to Absolute bank account at ************************ with no meaningful results. I have pictures provided by next door tenant, before content removal. I have no updates from Absolute Restoration of work performed. My requests have been ignored. I was emailed this fantastic document called an estimate. Unfortunately, it amounts to nothing more than written on toilet paper. I been given constant excuses, smoke and mirrors, which has expanded from June2021 to Dec21 to seven months. I requested company EIN info, was rebuffed. Filed a complaint with state attorneys office, and Bismarck IRS office. Servpro corporate has been made aware. Local residents have stated Absolute restoration bids out for work, they do not perform the job themselves. It appears, I'm being scammed!!! Refund my money!!!

Aug completion Date was for the mitigation work. As for the ****+ you state that was paid for content removal the correct total is ****** you also paid ******* for mitigation.  Mitigation was completed on 9/8 and Reconstruction started. After insurance approval, paperwork was sent to you on 9/17 for signatures and deposit.  Your Reconstruction estimate is for ******** with a deposit of 16046.79.  A partial payment of ******* was made on 10/27 and stated that your bank is sending ****** the following week. We decided to start the construction portion for you early, we installed new windows and sent photos per your request to make sure they match the house.  On Nov 9th you decided that we needed to get approvals from the insurance adjuster, bank and even the fire ******** to get their opinion.  You were called, text and emailed numerous times per week to get your approval to move forward so we can start the drywall.  On 11/17, a week later & a heated shouting match on your end, with us explaining over and over that we can't install drywall if you are going to tear out windows you approved & we proceeded with the drywall and paint & asked for the remaining amount owed for the deposit of ******** + the remainder  of ******* that insurance paid directly to you for work to be done.  When paint and drywall was finished we called you again regarding payment that has still not been received and was getting excuses blaming your bank.  We spoke with you multiple times to let you know that if payment was not received we will be stopping ALL work.  On 12/14 you demanded that ***** call you back in 30 min or you would be calling the cops making multiple threats since your tenant in another residence was not able to get into the home due to the doors being locked.  ***** then informed you that since you have resorted to making multiple threats we will no longer be working with you for your reconstruction needs and any unused money will be reimbursed.
