The two workers at the front desk this evening 8/2 at 6:36pm cst at the 112th and dodge location in omaha were not helpful at all. They first told me they could not verify I had dental coverage with delta dental via their in-house verification system..then they told me they could call delta but the office was closed. So I called delta myself and got a a rep within 5 minutes who tried to verify coverage with them and to advise how they could get a faxed copy of benefits via the ivr. They refused then said they couldn't verify my coverage on the delta website which the delta rep advised was not possible...then the front desk says they tried to verify in a 2nd in-house system and couldn't. And since they cannot verify insurance via phone anymore I would have to pay upfront and take the bill and file a claim directly with delta for reimbursement. I have literally never heard of a clinic not taking necessary steps to help a patient when there is more than one way to verify coverage.

Had a cleaning done in December which should have cost me nothing after being submitted to insurance. I got a email today that they will be sending my bill to collections. This being the first I heard of a balance I called the billing department. They said I could call back with my insurance information (which I had already given them the day of the cleaning) to be resubmitted. When calling back they said it had been too long and I would have to submit it myself and it would still be going to collections.

They charged me 350.00 out of pocket for services provided that day. There was a payment arrangement put in place for the remaining balance owed to come out of my check 2 weeks after i had the dental work done. I found out who my dental insurance was provided by and I called a week after having the dental work done and provided the emergency dental receptionist with my insurance information and she told me that day that she had put in claim for my dental work. They still tried to run my card for the remaining balance owed so i called to my insurance company to find out why they had not covered the remaining balance owed and they informed me that the dental office had only put in a claim for my exam and my x-rays not the extraction. I called the dentist office to find out why the claim for the extraction had not been made, the women i spoke with on the phone gave me the number for their billing dept. I called them they told me that i needed to contact my insurance company to file the claim for the extraction then the insurance company told me the dentist office has to do it but that my insurance will not cover the full balance owed because that dentist office is not in their network. The claim for my extraction was not filed until March of 2023 I had the dental work done in Sept of 2022 and they are now garnishing my wages 350.00 dollars every two weeks for non payment fees and late fees when they refused to file a claim for my tooth extraction until march of 2023 and my insurance company did send them 55.00 towards my extraction. I find this to be completely unfair considering they are charging me late fees and non payment fees from sept. of 2022 when had they filed the claim for my extraction in sept I could have afforded the reaming balance after my insurance company paid their portion but they waited 6 months to file the claim and charged me late fees and non payment fees for every month i did not pay it because they refused to put in the claim for my extraction.

$659 for ONE filling which is ludicrous. This office gave me a good faith estimate which I paid in full, only to increase the charges after the visit, and now my account reflects a balance. They initially told me (& charged me) for a $185 comprehensive exam before I even stepped foot back into the exam room so I'm not sure how they decided on that level of an exam prior to even seeing me. Once back in the exam room, they wanted to perform the comp exam with a full set of panoramic xrays. I declined this as there was no basis for a panoramic xray of my entire mouth. The dental tech stated that this would lower the exam to a 'limited' and cost less but they could not refund any amount in their office and stated I would need to call the billing department for a refund. After the dentist did a quick exam, the receptionist came back in to explain the cost of my treatment plan. She stated it would be $312.50. Up to that point, I paid a total of $497.50 for ONE replacement filling since my insurance was out of network & I had to pay for all costs up front. When I returned home, I noticed my dental insurance processed a claim in the amount of $659. Confused as to why I paid one amount and the office charged my insurance a larger amount, I called the billing department. I was told the limited exam was more expensive than the comp exam (please note that this is never the case!). They changed the exam fee of $185 to $195 and refused to change it back. They proceeded to tell me that there was a $161.50 BALANCE on my account as they were billing my insurance and I would owe any additional amount that the insurance does not pay. I told them ABSOLUTELY NOT as I paid IN FULL as explained to me in the office! In the end, this office is increasing prices AFTER a lower amount was quoted, agreed to, and paid. They are balance billing AFTER I was told I had to pay in full which meant IN FULL, as in NO REMAINING BALANCE but yet, here I am, fighting a balance on my account!

This clinic preys upon people in pain to extract as much money as possible from them. During a snowstorm/holiday week, I went to this clinic with tooth pain. They removed a wisdom tooth and performed a root canal on a different tooth stating that that was the actual source of the pain. Two weeks later and the pain had not subsided and then they said they would need to charge me to do a root canal on the correct tooth. I went to my normal dentist who performed the root canal on the correct tooth. During the diagnosis he stated that the previous root canal was not done correctly which means it will need to be redone. During my twelve hours at Emergency Dental, I could hear the staff only recommending root canals or extractions after seconds of examination to the patients coming in. No other courses of action were discussed.
